The Gemini Korean Invitational is a tournament series I've starting up that is funded through my Patreon and today I'm announcing the December 2+1 Holiday Special edition!
The GKI was on a mini hiatus the last few months as I got settled in Korea, but we're back and doubling the player count and tripling the prize pool! I've saved up the funds earned on my Patreon from the last few months and put it all into this December 2+1 Holiday Special edition!
The tournament will be a simple 8 person bracket featuring:
- Cure (2x Reigning Champ)
- Ragnarok
- sOs
- Dear
- Trap
- Bunny
- TRUE
- Armani
where the Ro8 will be Bo3, Ro4 Bo5, and a Bo7 finals. No 3rd/4th place match. The first streamed match will be Trap vs Bunny, and then all Ro4 matches and on will be casted. If the first match ends quick enough I'll try to jump into another series mid-way through.
I had raised $350 on my Patreon for the last 3 months so that will be combined and spread out among the players as:
- 1st Place: $200
- 2nd Place: $100
- 3rd/4th Place: $25
You'll be able to watch the stream live at https://www.twitch.tv/geminisc2/ on the 28th at 4 AM EST/ 10 AM CET/ 6 PM KST, which is in about 21 hours.
I unfortunately had to change the time to accommodate other tournaments happening, so sorry for the NA nerds who enjoyed watching live. This time the EU nerds can catch it

VODs will be up on my YouTube channel within 1-2 days aftewards.
VODs are up!
If you want to download the replays of the tournament, then you can become a patron and I'll have the link posted to download them within 15 minutes of the tournament finishing! Any tier is able to download them.
If you'd like to further support the tournament series then all patrons above $100 will still be added to the next edition's prize pool! I have enough funding for another 4 player tournament again so there will be at least another in the future! January will be a busy month for me at work but I'll do my best to squeeze one in. If not then I'll do one in February.
Thanks again for any support and I hope you all tune in to watch!
