They really didn't have to. Lurkers were fine before (apart from the time to get a lurker den upgraded from the hydra den). Whether you see them or not is just entirely dependent on if hydras are popular.

It's still silly a siege long range aoe unit can move and reposition 4 times as fast as a siege tank.

Last game was entertaining and back and forth, I don't really mind about these type of nydus SH game, I felt like there was at least some opportunity for Showtime. (Of course he was kinda behind in the midgame so that's probably the reason)

Also worth noting, outside of cannon rush in last game, every other game was basically same build order. Go stargate or die. Wonderful world of PvZ for years now.
