As someone who has essentially not paid attention to SC2 since Blizzcon, can someone explain why Tanks are viable in TvP these days?

Probably. Have you ever seen a Banshee come out at night? And they donate blood to the Red Cross.

The maps for this season don't look as striking as last season's. Very pretty still, but kinda generic.

I gave my sig away to whoever predicted the BlizzCon bracket the best. Didn't lose a bet. But 3 months are about over . I guess it will be up for grabs again at Katowice.

I'm not a fan of the black/red color scheme in general, but I have some residual hate from the reveal that this was the final boss' world in the singleplayer. Taken in isolation, it's fine but nothing special. Barren black rock, weirdly shaped rock formations, glowing crystals, red energy effects. A lot of that could also describe Char for example. And Ashworld was my least favourite tileset in Brood War. Or it could describe Slayn, the Tal'darim's planet.

It's pretty enough, don't get me wrong. The mapmaker did a great job. But there were some really cool colour schemes in the last season, and before that we had Abyssal Reef, probably my favourite looking map. My stand outs for this season would be Automaton, Port Aleksander and New Repugnancy, I think.

Surely that Probe pull is premature?

EDIT: Then again, since Future was so all-in, I suppose it's better not to take the risk.

That game was really fun. I like players who are better at attacking than defending .

These two are honestly not really good at attacking in the first place while having completely no idea at defending.

Keen did it a couple of times in the GSL, so it's not entirely gone. Might be more of a Korean thing?

It feels odd to see the Marines retreat behind the Tanks when the Zealots charge, but I suppose they do have a lot more damage and less hit points, so they don't really have the same purpose as Vultures.

If you lose money betting its entirely on you

Normally I'd agree but his play looked really questionable in the first series against Kas. Now I admit I'm biased because I bet and lost money, but his play was very sloppy. If you compare the first series and the following series, it's like two different players playing.
