WeSG had all the best foreigners and an actual korean qualifier. HSC has invites, not much prestige outside of TL, and 1/40th of the prize money.

I guarantee you that both Zest and Maru count WeSG as a premier and not HSC

And when did I say what pros care or don't care for? They take every event seriously, just some are more important than others. In Zest's opinion, he won no championships in 2017 despite two HSC wins. I doubt Maru feels the same way after playing on a massive stage and winning $200K.

And when exactly did I say pros care for or don't care for WeSG/HSC? I said one is more important and prestigous. One is a huge championship the other is a minor LAN.

Oh come on. One is for $400K and on one of the biggest stages in sc2. One is an invite only LAN with a few good players and a $10K prize pool. Zest said he didn't win anything important in 2017 despite the HSCs. Maru hasn't commented on WeSG but it's unlikely he feels a similar way.

It's outright bizarre that people are trying to make HSC out like its on the same level as other events. I thought I'd only see Taeja fanboys doing that.
