Im just finding out some information on this one. Obviously the streams for EU and NA are sorted as TL is in charge of that one but the one for this Global in Korea is no information in my hands yet. I am assuming it will just be a Korean Stream but i will post as soon as i know (currently asking people!)

E. Qualifier will be broadcasted by SPOTV GAMES
I doubt we get an English cast but the easiest way to get confirmation would just be to ask Wolf.

No English cast? Didn't someone mention that Rifkin wanted to do a cast for free? I think, he mentioned something like he wants to do it just for the SC2 passion ...

Honestly, community casters probably have absolutely no chance for the global qualifier anyway.

Just need someone to bother Wolf about it on Twitter, he should know and answer.
But their last qualifiers had only Korean casts, it's probably going to stay that way. Also thanks for the thread Pandabear.
Oh btw why does the OP say 9:30 CEST instead of 9:00? Should start 16:00 KST.

I applied for the Gauntlet stream to cast it, but haven't heard anything back. So yeah, I think they're looking for something more established. Maybe a studio cast in Burbank / Cologne?

Maybe they'd accept that, but if anything they'd probably have the English cast done by the SPOTV crew (Wolf & Valdes) as well (this way SPOTV doesn't have to share with anyone else). If they even want one at all.

Everybody can sign up at any time, he/she wants. You just go into the fan club of your favorite player and post "sign me up". And the owner of the club will sign you up!

I don't understand your English here, but afaik there's no community casters for the global, just for EU and NA.
If this is some sort of shot at our facebook post on the matter for EU and NA, please just say so and we could have a joyous time debating the use of revenue sharing in the history of community broadcasting.

I am feeling sorry for you ZG. You are a good girl ... and don't deserve to be a target for jokes.
Nobody is against you concerning your facebook post, but as several people mentioned in various discussions in the last two days (and I think the same), Rifkin is slowly talking more about money than about SC2 on your stream. And people get tired of it. Then, an otherwise reasonable facebook post gets a completely different meaning ... And then, Rifkin will become a target for jokes.

Calling someone a 'good girl' is a little condescending, if you weren't aware.
A few people mention a lot of stupid shit in many different topics so idk, I haven't been following this topic enough on TL to see those. But whatever you think about our past, this subject is something I wholeheartedly agree with had to come to light, and discussion about money was an important part of it. For you to 'take shots' or not, to jab or make fun of, is just dumb.
Nevertheless this is probably a discussion the mods don't want in this thread, so I'll just leave it with a sucks we might not have any EN cast for the global qualifier.

Go do that elsewhere pls, this is a Kespa cup thread if you guys want to talk about eventual problem with Basetrade or the community (or PC culture, whatever this shit mean) go write a blog or a thread about it.
Tons of high-profile players have to be participating in this, so I am super excited and really want to see some great matches. It's fine if it's just a Korean stream, so long as there is a stream!!

Huge bummer but no surprise KESPA wants to keep things in-house, hopefully they'll let Wolf and Valdes cast, or maybe someone can get a delayed stream from the Youtube link and cast it that way.

Well, when I wrote, she is a good girl, that meant just that she is OK, a good person, that I like her (except that the dark hair was much better than the blonde one). If anyone is feeling oppressed by it, then it is his / her problem.
Whenever I read someone writing about "women oppressed forever", "white racism" and similar bullshit, I just throw him into the "too stupid to discuss with" box and don't take him seriously.
Concerning KESPA cup, the fact, Wolf just tweeted a minute ago some SC1 BroodWar stuff and nothing about a cast or even a periscope wild cast makes me quite confident, there will be no English cast of this amazing event, probably even much more interesting than the groups themselves later. What a pity! It will be sad to just listen to the Korean stream in the background, as my Korean is not good, I understand just their numbers "hana", "tul", "set" ... and I can't watch it the whole day. Very sad, missed opportunity.
It would be nice to at least see some brackets ... the EU preview looks interesting, but of course, the KR one is the thing ... http://challonge.com/KeSPACupEU Doesn't anyone have a link to the Global Qualifier bracket?

just Wolf? that is a little condescending towards Wolf you know and i'd just like to take some time here to inform you of how offended i am as a fan of Wolf and all that he has done for the SC2 scene.
we need to take as much time as possible to stamp out what few SC2 fans are left and tell them how offended we are so that we can continue complaining about the decline of the scene and how terrible that is.

So being complimented is condescending. What is he supposed to say, you're a good guy? You are a girl, aren't you? He's saying you're a good girl. Being called a girl is condescending in what way? Is it sexist? PC culture makes me want to puke.
Reverse the roles. He says to Rifkin, "You're a good guy." Is that condescending? Because you're a girl, suddenly the standards change? SMH
The difference is men haven't been oppressed and trivialized forever.

I am sorry ... my English is probably too bad to understand the meaning of your statement :-) btw not sure, if it was not Valdes last time with the wild periscope cast ...

english is over rated, man.
maybe they should get Winter to broadcast some of these Kespa Cup qualifier games in English. The guy has a huge viewer base and it would be great to give those thousands upon thousands of Winter fans out there a treat for being so loyal to the guy through thick and thin.
is there any way we can lobby Kespa to get Winter to cast these games?
I love how Byun got like, the worst group possible for him. His worst match up is probably TvZ, and he wound up with Byul, Curious, Hyun, Leenock, and soO.......
Afaik there is no stream, period. If Kespa is going to take a cut of streamers revenue don't be surprised when no one steps up because it isn't worth their time

Didn't he take ou soO in SSL s1 and Dark in GSL? Both players are better than who he's facing imo. Byul just hasn't been the same in LotV

I went to spotv website and checked broadcasting schedule. Doesn't seem like there will be a broadcast.
It's so lame. They did broadcast 2015 Kespa cup qualifier for almost an entire day, and VODs are available on their website. Reminds me of the decline of SC2 in Korea.
So I guess no Kespa cup qualifier for us this year , or better to say from this year and on.
ps: double checked all 4 spotv channel schedule. Yep, no broadcast. They would rather rerun already broadcasted programs.

The equivalent here would be calling Rifkin a "good BOY". These compliments are most times reserved for children so when you use them to compliment an adult it gives the impression of looking down on the person. It would be more correct to say "You are a good person" or that you like what she does for the community. The addition of "..." is often used in a condescending manner as well so although not highlighted by ZG, it does add a somewhat negative tone to the sentence.

Nerchio has a chance compared to the other EU guys as he has won a few qualifiers this year already.
Counting him out is silly when he has a fine chance like every other top EU pro.

Wouldn't it be weird for a top player playing in a qualifier not to care about a tournament with $18 100 first prize? It's not like Kespa Cup gets in the way of Blizzcon.

if dark lost to two allins he should be working on his game. allins dont stop being real when you reach top level, you still have to defend them. 2-0 with cheese or allin is legit as hell and its darks fault, i'm not about making excuses for players

Why would I make excuses for players? xD I already said korean zergs are bad because they often lost to terrans in starleagues. I don't care at all if Dark gets trashed by Pet, since there are no liquidbet points on the line for these qualifiers.
On September 13 2016 20:20 Poopi wrote: I already said korean zergs are bad because they often lost to terrans in starleagues.
Why is this the deciding quality of a Zerg player being bad? And does this mean that good Zerg players don't exist period?
Some foreign zergs players were doing well in ZvT, as they should do because the match-up favors them. So good zerg players exist indeed . It's not the deciding quality, I should rephrase: they are not as better compared to the top foreign zergs than korean terrans are better than the average top foreign terrans. As for protosses I suspect Neeb is capable of doing as well as the koreans star protosses. That's what I call "bad", of course they are very good, but compared to how good prime DRG was in ZvT (I don't remember who was super good in ZvP among koreans zergs) for example, Dark and the likes are bad. It's the same bad as how HopeTorture/ITR was bad in the first GSL: terrans were supposed to do well in TvZ, he was the best terran from that tournament, but he couldn't even win and time showed that he was indeed bad because much better terrans came after him.
I thought everyone allins in qualifiers, Dark should have expected it after just losing SSL to the most basic of cheeses. He's the better Zerg, a single drone scout isn't gonna lose him a macro game but its the only way to prevent losing to cheese. Unless he pulls all his workers and maybe holds a hatch first.
I really don't understand how Zergs can justify not drone scouting at least on large maps.

Foreign Zergs are doing well in ZvT versus Terran's who aren't as good as the Koreans. This has been a fact since the beginning of SC2, Korean Terran's are a whole other beast then 99% of the foreign Terrans. So if you are really judging balance by foreign level of zvt, well then you should never discuss balance because you don't know what you are talking about.
ZvT is not Zerg favored, if you would watch you would know this. I am also not stating it is Terran favored just as an FYI. A month ago or so I would say it was pretty Terran favored, but it seems to be evening out now.

Yet foreign zergs are supposedly not as good as korean ones either, thus if they are doing well vs foreign terrans without it being because of balance, it means it's an easier race at european level :o.
I'm not judging balance so I'm even less judging balance by foreign zvt. I do watch and even the best korean terrans struggle vs medium to top zergs, depending on the map. What matches are you referring to that are a month old that make TvZ T favored for you? And why do you think it's evening out now?
Not a terrible lineup but there are definitely some disappointments here lol. Pet beating Dark is meh Dark is already at Blizzcon and every now and then you're gonna drop some random ZvZs. aLive losing to TY is expected but sad as we're not gonna see him in forever. Patience knocking sOs and Inno out is interesting I guess. Feel bad for Super and Losira.
Anyone else think it's weird that this qualifier isn't region locked at all, and yet there are EU and NA qualifiers that are region locked? And that no foreigners even tried this qualifier? Unless there's some rule that you can only participate in one qualifier? If I were a foreigner I would've rolled the dice in this one with no pressure to do well and then participated in my region locked one too.
Also the NA one includes China, SEA, Taiwan, Oceania, and all of NA. EU includes... EU
Also it's sad that there were 41 "notable" Korean signups on the liquipedia page... just goes to show how oversaturated the Korean scene is right now

Makes sense I guess. I still probably would've tried to cheese the shit out of people. No pressure to do well and hey maybe you get lucky and qualify lol.
Can't fault them though there was like a 0.00000003% chance that would work. Still think it's odd that the global qualifier isn't region locked but there are region locked NA/EU qualifiers. And NA includes all of Asia less Korea lol

EU
Also it's sad that there were 41 "notable" Korean signups on the liquipedia page... just goes to show how oversaturated the Korean scene is right now
Harstem and TLO cited ping as the main reason, basically they said the ping is so bad there was not point in trying.
and yet koreans play in qualifiers on the EU/NA servers (at least the ones they're allowed to play in)

Not to mention for any NA players the qualifier started between midnight and 3AM depending on the time zone, that's brutal
