He recently lost to innovation in shoutcraft. But it was a online tournament and best of 1.

Lol I love this description of Myungsik. mini caveman version of sOs is the perfect description. he does crazy things and also loses to stupid execution mistakes just like sOs.
as some of you might know, I have been lobbying for terran nerfs but in the light of today's event, it is more than clear that terran need 70 damage tanks and all round buffs. And a new unit
I like adepts even though they may need to be fine-tuned. Or maybe not with the new changes. I want to see more play where people segment off adepts and only let a few shades finish to bait out friendly fire widow mine shots and so forth.
Only thing I am missing from HoTS is good blink micro play that would absolutely decide fights on a knife edge. Overall I love the state of Protoss and there is so much micro potential with disruptors, adepts, blink stalkers, and oracles.

looking at the changes it really isn't plus it'll still replace the zealot as the go to meatshield unit which I don't like
iirc blizzard introduced the adept shade ability as a skill to run away from stuff after harassing. I see adept shades on top of marines or stalkers most of the time lol

I feel like he should have lifted his natural and counter attacked instead of being stuck in that half way zone and letting myungsik get away with both an economy and army lead. Forcing some defensive warp ins and having some counter damage would have been enough. Then again not a terran expert.

15-20 army supply in adepts, mind you. Those can't do a thing to flying siege tanks and liberators. With what he did, Myungsik was free to take a third and tech to blink, stargate and robo at the same time. At that point Maru's just dead.
I think it was a huge miscall from Maru not to pressure at least. Myungsik can't counterattack with adepts either, or he just dies.

I agree that Maru should have done something to stop Myungsik from building up. Just not sure if a straight-up push would have been the right call. Maru wasn't even close to getting stim and shields either, so all his marines would die against adepts really quick without doing anything and then it's back to microing a single tankivac and a single liberator against constant stalker warp-ins from 5 gates. There was no reactor on the starport either, so no way to get medivacs and liberators out fast enough

A battlefield/battlefront sorta multiplayer game but being unique in having 3 races who control very differnet (obv being a zergling) with a solid single player would be a sick sc game. Like think AvP multi but good and with huge battles.

It's not that much because they are strong, but they are just strong in a boring way. Shading small groups around is fun, but why do they have to be so strong in straight-up fight? This is Marauders and Roaches all over again: boring strong units that just do damage while not dying to the first sneeze around them. Why do we even need to have those around? Marauders were even nerfed along the way (while Roaches were kind "nerfed" by how much other stuff has become better), so there is some understanding at Blizzard that a straight-up strong unit is not very fun, so why even introduce another?

Why do you think the cooldown is the issue? What I see as generally problematic is their standup fighting power - even if they didn't have the shade at all, they stats just seem to be to good. I have recently seen many occasions of them just killing stuff. Okay, sometimes it's after they shade through tanks/libs, but that also wouldn't be solved by shade cooldown, because they need to shade just once to do it.
Some people have suggested health reduction and that's what would make sense to me. I still don't get why they do both so much damage and have so much health, while not leaving much for Zealots to do better. It's pretty much like the gateway/warpgate paradox that has never ever been addressed in all those years.

I think in the huge patch this year they will be nerfing Adepts, or at least their counters becoming much stronger. Banelings and Hydras will be stronger, so will siege tanks and cyclones (?)

If the cooldown was far bigger dealing with that kind of harass would be far less of a pain. But I wouldn't mind a health reduction at all, probably on the shields.

I'm one of the HP nerf enthousiasts (so I keep posting it everywhere alongside liberator removal requests)
The way I see it:
1. Less hp means shading on top of armies nerfed. It's just numbers, your shit dies faster while the others shit lives longer 2. Ever seen Zergs running around trying to clean up Adepts but just as they're about to kill the last ones a new batch is warped in? An HP nerf done properly will rebalance this as needed (I don't think the nerf needs to be that big) 3. Zealots become a relatively better choice so more diversity

I don't think they should nerf adepts. I like that protoss can defend early aggression by actually building units. I think they should nerf pylon overcharge. Overcharge + adpets is overkill imo. Protoss can get a 3rd and 4th too fast and too easy vs terran.

stats, zest, sOs, patience, and dear have all been better overall i would think. myungsik has always been a volatile player mad genius type of player who can win against anyone or shoot himself in the foot and do some amateur mistakes. even in his recent wins we saw that.
