Adepts and liberators killing worker lines for next to nothing, TvZ hinging entirely on whether or not Zerg can get Ultralisks out, and PvP being a game of "who doesn't lose their entire army to one Disruptor shot" is fixed to you? Viewership is at an all-time low and it's easy to see why.

PvP hasn't been about Disruptor shots for a while now, it is actually Roach vs Roach just with Adepts instead of Roaches in KR now, upgrades don't matter, nothing matter, other than super high defenders advantage and the amount of Adepts you have, I'd gladly take the Disruptor battles back

I thought the previous pace was much better.

Having weird downsides for the sake of being more "interesting" is a huge red flag too. As for being better "balanced" the issue with adepts has been design more so than balance, what bothers me is that your change rewards you for not using the ability, something you shouldn't want on an ability. That's really dependant on how much shield it would cost tbh. I would say there is a cost to using the ability which is a bit more severe than a simple cooldown. Let's say 10 shields are lost if you actually shade somewhere, i don't think that would be too bad, But sure i can see where you are coming from i guess.
