To be fair, RTS single player mission design is a bit limited. It was still kinda fun to play even though they just literally copied WoL missions and turned your stuff into Protoss. WoL had the most boring missions imo. Wasn't it just a bunch of variants of "destroy all enemies" over and over (with a few survive X minutes missions thrown in)? Also the non-customizable upgrades. At least HotS and LotV had Kerrigan / Spear of Adun and options you could change on the fly to suit the mission. In WoL, it was "Destroy all enemies", "Defend X objective" or "Gather X resource" over and over and over. Yeah, I played all the missions three times (normal/hard/brutal), I was really tired of them at the end. I enjoyed most of HotS all three times. Only played LotV on normal so far, so I guess I can't quite compare. Still feels better than WoL though.

Honestly the final missions of the regular campaign are pretty much flat rip-offs of WoL missions. The final mission even has you do the exact same thing. i don't remember the final mission. i guess that says it all. + Show Spoiler +You defend the Xel'naga relic from the onslaught of Zerg forces until it's at 100%. In WoL every now and then you got harder waves with Kerrigan (and nydus worms or air units depending on a mission choice), in LotV you get harder waves with Protoss and hybrids. oh yeah. yeah i still remember the WoL one but didn't remember the LotV one. that is kinda silly but i guess they did that to make it end the same way it started...?

Also, "Narud", Really? Though as I said, the entire SC2-story is pretty "meh".
