I don't know, if Firecake denied the third after he won that battle with burrow, Polt was dead in the water imo.
I was surprised that Firecake at no point went to check if Polt had flown a CC to the 6 o'clock base.
The roach attack in the main was pretty bad too, sure he killed some tanks, but he lost too many roaches to marines and libs without doing any actual damage.

Making no ravagers was just so strange. I mean, the moment liberators entered the game he was in huge trouble.
FCK pause: "Hey, uh, I think we spawned vertical, I think that's a bug."

yeah but after losing the third so early he was kind of stuck between getting an army - which he did - or getting something to deal with drops - which would have lost to the push Polt did. In the end his choice was kind of right but then he didn't play well enough when Polt picked everything up and it backfired.

Firecake was up almost 60 supply when Polt picked everything up right?

Don't know the exact number but something like that, yeah. It was deep in his half though and when he goes for the counter instead of the defense, Polt should win in the basetrade. Or at least force a stalemate.

Well, after that burrow roach army killed so much the game was probably a bit in Firecakes favor. But until then and after his drops did a ton of damage he was always with a good grasp on the game.
Yes when Polt start to drop, he dictate the rhythm in this match. If Firecake used his mutas to get rid of the drop instead of harassing, he would have been free to attack and decrease Polt army. Instead Firecake roaches were forced to go back and forth between his bases and Polt's.
