Some players performing better in a new game than others sounds like a perfectly reasonable scenario regardless of balance.

still not impressed. EG has been ending careers for longer

TL.net and EG ended idra's career

I'm pretty sure being irrelevant after 2011 ended his career. Calling his fans "a bunch of fucks" was the nail in the coffin

Polt: inadvertently ending careers since 2013

you could say HeroMarine ended my career then, since I'm pretty sure that's the last aligulac entry I have

yeah. you're listed as inactive now. gg

yeah didn't manage to qualify for WCS, so no point in continuing as far as I'm concerned

Switch to Cardstone.

he should try to play in 2016 wcs events.

GRASS ROOTS EVENTS should carry his income. Good ol blizzard

shoudl just retire, Alchemik isn't even top35 in Poland

Poland is dead now. Thoorin was right. Poland was left.
To all the haters: you deserve to witness many, many more Serral victories, worthy of the godlike player he is.

Exactly man, after like 3083197863 of SC2 games, it really is boring, but whatever..
From time to time you could announce it, or if it is some really hyped up final, otherwise it´s just a time filler
and unecessary.

Not everyone is as familair with the game or watches it for the entire weekend. There are plenty of newcomers that drop in for a little while.

If it's for new people then not so obvious things should be highlighted, like map features

That is a fair point too.

idk to me, it feels like the proper way to start a game off. like we know when a tv episode starts because it's the beginning, but they still have the opening. it just feels right

I'm confused...how is whether or not a viewer is familiar with SC2 relevant?

And yeah, like somebody mentioned, it's just a leftover relic from WoL/HoTS when they needed something to fill time during the extremely slow buildup in the early game. It's always been annoying, but now it's annoying and even more unnecessary in LoTV.

Lesser known =/= worse

According to your signature, you think that MMA is a truly inspiring player. Do you honestly believe that he is currently worse than a no-name like Firecake?

Player introductions obviously have more value to a newer viewer than an enfranchised one.

My signature is ages old but inspiring can be game-wise, generally speaking etc pp. Also yes I do believe FireCake did play better in the series vs MMA. He did use a cheesy build, but its not like you cant beat it.

Maybe you could start off a series like that - and then do a simple intro each game. I developed this opinion a few weeks ago too (probably DH) that it really doesn't add anything and if it's the same EVERY TIME (as it is) then what's the point?
