Some players performing better in a new game than others sounds like a perfectly reasonable scenario regardless of balance.

From time to time you could announce it, or if it is some really hyped up final, otherwise it´s just a time filler and unecessary. Not everyone is as familair with the game or watches it for the entire weekend. There are plenty of newcomers that drop in for a little while. If it's for new people then not so obvious things should be highlighted, like map features That is a fair point too.

And yeah, like somebody mentioned, it's just a leftover relic from WoL/HoTS when they needed something to fill time during the extremely slow buildup in the early game. It's always been annoying, but now it's annoying and even more unnecessary in LoTV.

Player introductions obviously have more value to a newer viewer than an enfranchised one.

I agree with this and don't mind them at all. I mean, it takes all of 10 seconds and is tradition~!

My signature is ages old but inspiring can be game-wise, generally speaking etc pp. Also yes I do believe FireCake did play better in the series vs MMA. He did use a cheesy build, but its not like you cant beat it.

I developed this opinion a few weeks ago too (probably DH) that it really doesn't add anything and if it's the same EVERY TIME (as it is) then what's the point?
