Blinding Cloud vs mech effectively is one, same as PDD, same as Force Fields. Rofl You can spread out the tanks, zone/snipe the vipers with vikings etc. vipers can try to flank to avoid the vikings You can run away from pdd or have enough units to break through you can't have great pdd usage you just spam them when an engage happens you can't micro vs pdds you just run or commit

That's all there is to it. That was super technical from Innovation, blaming the mechanics is a bit disrespectful to the amount of effort that went in there for both players. It was a great game from INno, but unkillable compositions are very troubling, whether it's BC/Viking/Raven or LOTV's Carrier deathblob. There should always be a counter. (I'm not saying that Zerg can't possibly counter that composition, I have absolutely no idea.)

For instance byul couldve just used a corrupter/viper ball with infestors and spores and just hook/kill units one by one whether its a viking or not. The player who mentally lapses or gets impatient loses in those situations tbh. Byul I think lost mentally because he couldve have gotten 4~5 sh and harass the main while dancing vs the mech death ball. In that last engagement neural parasite on the BCs wouldve actually worked. Byul hooked a shit load of units, Inno just PDDed and ran it back to safety half the time. Blocking 20 attacks from one PDD is absolutely ridiculous.

I can understand frustration with a particular style - Swarm hosts made me furious - but I don't sympathize with the idea that the players should be held accountable. you don't have to hate the player, but it's hard to actively cheer for one who's going to win in a way that is both frustrating to play against and watch.

It would be fine if blizzard didn't lie and say it was balanced. Innovation has planned this series really well regardless of how dumb his wins have been.

Same thing applied to BL/infestor; I hated that playstyle with a passion, but when someone played it particularly well, or did something crazy with it, like Leenock vs HerO, you have to respect the player himself.

You can't really counter it it's more about having enough gas to do it. I agree tho you can't really play like that vs mech
