The people that does not enjoy pvp are those that cannot understand the strategies and mind games that goes on in the game. It makes their brain hurts. Typically the ones that charge up a narrow ramp with force field and 5 collosus defending the ramp and cry Protoss OP afterwards.

Even pro Korean players who other wise never say anything negative complain about the PvP match up saying it's coin-flippy since there's such a huge dependency on build order that is extremely difficult to scout if the players actually actively deny scouting. So far I've never heard anyone complain about the TvT or ZvZ match up in the same manner.
Typically when you say mind games you mean "I showed my opponent X, but I'm actually doing Y", or "my opponent saw X and assumes I'm going to do Y, but I'm doing X any ways", or "He would never expect me to proxy in an ace match!". In PvP it's usually "I never showed my opponent anything, and I hide tech every match". Where's the mind game there?

i really don't understand how there can be so much balance whine. people really need to look at the game as a whole wcs, gsl,nssl, and things like iem and you will notice there is a pretty good mix of the races in each tourney. not a fan of pvp as much as the other match ups but it will be a good finals.

I have no idea how you took away from Zest's play in this tournament that he's "shattering that notion." Zest played horribly against Hydra. He played horribly against Innovation. And he played poorly against Bbyong, but got very lucky in a few spots. Meanwhile he's losing to TANGTANG to get sent to Code B, and losing to DeParture in GSL/SSL qualifiers, and losing to Creator x2 (and all of KT's ace matches to boot). I'm just completely mindblown at how you can look at Zest's play, especially in this tournament, and take away from that that he's somehow shattering the notion of what I say he is: a mediocre protoss. I feel the complete opposite way - his sloppiness and poor play was clear throughout the entire tournament, and is only strengthening what I've been saying about Zest.

Exactly. That's why I took up the cause of trying to spread awareness of how delusional Zest fans were. Up until now, it seemed like nobody but I could actually see that Zest wasn't anywhere near as good as the KT fanboys (Otherworld, Elentos) and Zest fanboys (DarkLordOlli) make him out to be.

If you think I'm supposed to be impressed by Zest's play during that series, then we must have been watching different things. Watching such sloppy play by Zest (against both Hydra and Innovation) basically strengthened my opinion about what kind of a player he is. I'm not going to go into a long analysis of what I think, as it's pretty much already been said in this series, but out of the 4 semifinalists, 3 of them advanced by outplaying their opponents - Trap, Dark, and Bbyong - while Zest played pretty terribly but happened to run into opponents - Hydra and Inno - who played even worse. I'm hoping for a Bbyong vs. Dark finals, but this tournament has been very unpredictable. I'll be happy as long as the games are good; I don't want to see more silver-league play like Zest v Hydra or Zest v Inno. Anyway, since you were so concerned with where I was, I'm about to watch the semis now. I don't really hate you. I just strongly disagree with you and find the extent to which you go to rip on Zest and KT (which I'm not really even a fan of) amusing and I'm simply breaking balls. Everyone (including me) ripped on Olli when TANGTANG knocked Zest out of a code A spot. Now the shoe is on the other foot where Zest seems to be in Prime position to win IEM. You've been absolutely relentless in trying to expose Zest as an overhyped patchtoss. Now he's shattering that notion. Gotta take your licks. I have no idea how you took away from Zest's play in this tournament that he's "shattering that notion." Zest played horribly against Hydra. He played horribly against Innovation. And he played poorly against Bbyong, but got very lucky in a few spots. Meanwhile he's losing to TANGTANG to get sent to Code B, and losing to DeParture in GSL/SSL qualifiers, and losing to Creator x2 (and all of KT's ace matches to boot). I'm just completely mindblown at how you can look at Zest's play, especially in this tournament, and take away from that that he's somehow shattering the notion of what I say he is: a mediocre protoss. I feel the complete opposite way - his sloppiness and poor play was clear throughout the entire tournament, and is only strengthening what I've been saying about Zest. He's definitely not as godly as people make him out to be. Exactly. That's why I took up the cause of trying to spread awareness of how delusional Zest fans were. Up until now, it seemed like nobody but I could actually see that Zest wasn't anywhere near as good as the KT fanboys (Otherworld, Elentos) and Zest fanboys (DarkLordOlli) make him out to be. I like Zest kind of because I think he's a good looking dude. Am I wrong on that account?
There's absolutely nothing wrong with liking Zest. There's nothing wrong with liking Zest because he's a good looking guy either.
As I've said many, many, many times in the past, and am getting tired of saying, I simply do what I do because I feel that Zest is the player that is the most overhyped for his accomplishments, and whose fans are the most delusional about how good he actually is. Flash would be the second on that list (which is why some people think I ''hate'' KT), but I understand that hype because of Flash's success in Brood War, so I don't post about that that much.
But any player who receives a level of hype (as I've repeatedly said in the past) that I don't think they've quite earned I will post about and point out the truth. It just so happens to be Zest from 2014-now. And from reading this thread, it seems that more and more people are starting to see what I saw a long time ago. So perhaps a new player becomes the one I see as the most overhyped and over-celebrated in relation to their true success, but until that is no longer Zest, he will continue to be the target of my raising awareness campaign. Think of what I do as public service.
