That's not how it works, you should say that protoss is OP,the game is broken and terran is so hard to play that everytime a zerg or a toss wins a tournament BLizzard should wake up! Anyway can't wait for the PvP finals.

Patience played the worst out of any player in the tournament and got stomped by Maru, who missed a nydus worm in his main, in plain view, and stood no chance against Dark, who had bigger issues with quasi-retired TaeJa. Dark then makes himself look like a fool with his outrageously bad engagement on expedition lost against Trap. Trap barely beat Flash and Fantasy, who were by no means favourites, and Flash wasn't even playing that well. TL;DR: Game quality underwhelming. Good post/ summary. For me it felt like the tournament never really took of, players not getting into their proper shape. There were still some good games though nevertheless.

I'll give credit to Zest who, despite, uh, "lackluster" execution, had really strong game plans against INnoVation and Bbyong (the fact that he was this well prepared for the matches despite having only little time for preparation is astounding) and to Trap, who, funnily enough mostly showed off his amazing execution but also had very strong game plans, especially for Flash though. They do deserve to be in the finals (albeit maybe for the wrong reasons). But overall, I'm disappointed. IEM VIII Cologne was amazing, probably the best SC2 tournament I've watched. All other following IEMs were also very high level. IEM, to me, was associated with high level SC2 from that point on. And then we get this tournament in which some of the world's finest players play incredibly unclean and make it seem like the meta has gone backwards. I mean, ffs, one game of Zest vs Bbyong was DTs into gateway pressure into colossi vs (kinda forced, but still) 1-1-1. There were several PvT series, the majority of them had blink all-ins. This tournament was, overall, just weird.

We have Trap who pulls all sorts of shenigans but also had great macro games, mindfucking everyone on his way into the final. Then we have out-of-shape Zest who was practically dead vs Hydra, but slowly crawls back, then confuses the hell out of Innovation with his slapstick all-ins, somehow edging through and became unpredictable to Bbyong. It's the guy who retains his composure, who remains elusive and who controlls the dynamics that will win. Both Trap and Zest have had plenty of this. That's why they are deservedly in the final imo.
