what should DRG have done? (and didn't he used to play Marine-tank forever?; or are you talking less about composition and more about the curvature of his management?)
I am talking about the early "greed" into low eco 3-bases all-in/rally that he plays most of the time in TvZ. He tends to play completely blind in the early game so any kind of all-in can kill him (that's how TLO beat him at the IEM Sao Paulo). Otherwise you drone to 85-90 and "outflood" him with mass banes (TargA did so at the DH Valencia).

or use baneling landmines
Or use Swarmhosts. I think Snute is right, going ling/bling/muta is out of date.
Bomber is not going for hellbat pushes or mine heavy play, mutaling bane is supposed to work vs this
He goes for hellbat pushes, just not your usual transform initial hellions into hellbats and push with it. More like, his usual, build scvs, build units until you win with hellbats instead of tanks/mines.

But it doesn't work against decent Terrans anymore. Atleast if they do not make crucial mistakes. They got to the point where cost efficiency of bio/mine/medivac has become ridiciolous. The only unit in Zerg's arsenal to keep up in terms of cost efficiency is the swarmhost.
