No, all players will play every round they need to based on number of participants!

Madals: maybe you should also post the open bracket signup link in /r/StarCraft in case not everyone has seen it here?

Maybe start the first place guy out 1:0 to the second place guy, so it's really a Bo4 or a Bo6. That sounds pretty good - although what about that they will have already played earlier? Rematch - same way group stages have deciders that are sometimes a rematch of the first or second set. Hey, when The Book of elfi continues?

I am now back from vacation and will get to updating the funding target + should be able to update on some guest casters soon!
|
What will the prize pool distribution look like? How many get prizes and how much for winner? Need to know much money I'll have to spend on my vacation.
|
Prizepool distribution will be: 1st = 50% = $1184.18 2nd = 25% = $592.09 3rd 4th = 10% = $236.83 5th 6th = 2.5% = $59.2
Updated main thread with this information!
Please remember, the Open qualifier will be running on Tuesday, Sep 30 5:00pm GMT (GMT+00:00)!

Popularity is definitely a factor, but it's a mix of both. A player who is very popular but has been performing very poorly, wont get in.

What's going on with Grubby/Goody? The bracket seems messed up because there are 66 matches when there should be 64.

I had this issue with Binarybeast when I was running an event in Summer 2013 and it looks like it still hasn't been fixed. Nothing you can really do but 'make your own bracket'

Lilbow and Botvinnik have American flags on the bracket. Seems legit.
