Thanks to all of the players and spectators who came out on Saturday, and congrats to HoneyBear and coL_Moosegills for taking top 2! Both players will be flown out to Red Bull Detroit Battle Grounds on August 22nd - 24th.

We are proud to announce a FREE StarCraft 2 tournament in Chicago, which will serve as a qualifier for Red Bull Battle Grounds! The top two finishers will win all-expenses paid trips and player passes to compete at Red Bull Battlegrounds Detroit. Red Bull hosts the top StarCraft 2 events in the NA region, and we are thrilled to see them focusing attention in the Midwest. You don't want to miss this opportunity!
Live Qualifier Tournament: Saturday, August 16th, 2014
Location: Chicago, IL @ Ignite Gaming Lounge
Time: 11:00AM - 10:00PM (Players arriving after 11AM risk being left out of the bracket)

Registration: FREE, but you must sign up in advance to be included on the bracket! Must be 18+ to compete.

It hasn't happened yet! The tournament is a few weeks away - brackets and results will be posted here though

Hey Nel, thanks for being courteous! Just shoot me a PM with the info you signed up with and I can take you off the list. Worst case, you can always show up that morning - there's a chance that some walk-in's get to play.

cool, I went to this place when I visited Chicago a while ago. Had a SC2 break, it was fun.
btw I'd play in one of these if it came to SoCal.

Attending but not competing in the Midwest Qualifier? We're looking for volunteers on Saturday at 10:30AM. You'll mainly be helping players get plugged in, and will be done before 6PM.
As compensation, we'll hook you up with an Ignite t-shirt, a free meal, and a 5 hour credit on your account. It's also a nice resume point for those interested or looking to get their foot in the door. Message me if you are available/interested.
