TaeJa! How can he be so good? Not even dropping a game to HerO? Teammates are always a huge upset potential and he drops 0 games....
Going to game 7 would have been an ultimate TL fan gift, but TeamTaeJa for as long as we have left is welcome too. Take care of those wrists and keep wowing us all!

Didn't catch this DH, but, can't believe he didn't drop a single map. Very well done Taeja, congratulations.

HerO's had poor results for a while now. Not only that but isn't TaeJa supposed to have his number as well for the most part? Makes sense to me. I find HerO coming 2nd to be much more surprising due to his lackluster performance of late. Just more reason to play in more DH events for him.

TaeJa doesn't have HerO's number historically although he has definitely been playing much better lately. He actually has a losing record against him. However, it was still pretty surprising to see HerO make the final like you said.

Nestea did it in GSL. Once. 3 years ago.

Taeja is the best TvP in the world after Maru.

A lot of people are also forgetting that the tournaments that TaeJa shows amazing results in are different from tournaments like proleague and GSL, where the players know in advance who they're going to match up against. Throughout his career he has been consistently dominant in team leagues and weekend tournaments where everyone faces off against a variety of opponents without specific preparation for anyone in particular, and we've seen him absolutely crush many of the supposed best players in the world in those settings.

I don't know if he's currently the best player in the world, but I believe there were points in time when he definitely was, despite not taking home a Korean title.

Taeja's a monster in summer as usual. Glad to see he's living up to his reputation despite the wrist issues, and I'm actually glad that HerO's starting to get back in form.

champagne bottle 1 - 0 Taeja

Not so flawless victory after all huh.

Anyway I`m glad he had no wrist problems and he could play at his finest like the champ I think everyone knew he is. GZ!

Nerf Taeja, kid´s way too good. The plan to end it with a bang is coming along nicely so far.

Mad props to HerO though. He´s been struggling for a while, but DH really seems to bring out the best in him.

According to champagne the bottle itself it's 4-0.

Taeja is a beast.. i am only sad that he has never won a GSL or WCS. Would like to see him play and dominate together with maru and soO the GSL. If he is still going to retire at least do a GSL run before and finish on the top of the top. If he does that then he will def be the best sc2 players so far.

I'd say Taeja has better TvP, based on his actual game play.
Maru doesn't have very good record against good Kespa protosses. He mostly beat weaker protosses in PL so I'd say his TvP is overrated unless otherwise proven (if he win against Classic). He was recently owned by San on his home turf as well.
Polt has a pretty decent record vs top Kespa protosses like Classic, Rain, Parting, herO, Stork, so he is certainly up there in terms of TvP as well.

Taeja is amazing.
Hero gets pretty destoryed by Code S players right now though. Taeja is still not on Maru's level but it would be nice to see him try in Korea again at some point.
Not much point though when he can just rake the winnings in elsewhere.
