The guy has passed MVP for me now. They're different - Taeja definitely doesn't have the same set planning skills that MVP did. But his actual skill level has to be higher to me. He's been dominant for a longer period, and he has t shown incredible consistency. In a weekend event, there's no one in the world I'd put ahead of him.

Also i don't think it is a fair comparison, these guys never had to travel much, i am pretty sure that they would do a lot better if they got more chances. I mean i think he could compete in korea, but i am pretty sure he would not be extremely consistent. Stork was in Code S this season. At HSC he lost to Snute, got demolished by Bomber in one of the most one-sided series of the cup, and then lost to Scarlett. Taeja won that tournament as well. I think he is nearly on Marus level atm, maybe not quite there, but at least extremely close.

In no particular order: Mvp - Self explanatory Taeja - Championships with regularity, that IPL TL showing v IM, I also feel he put up decent Korean results in a tough era for Terrans before emigrating. Maru - A beast who has carried his race's hopes in GSL for a pretty damn long period by SC standards. Innovation - The previous Terran hope and a team league monster. IMO scariest player ever at his peak. MMA - For those multiple championships and winning Korean championships alone. Even after that he has slowly climbed back to relevance. Actually harder than I thought, as it seems wrong to not have Polt or Bomber in there ![]()

I think you are a bit biased towards Maru/Inno because of their current success, but realistically putting them above MKP/Polt or even Bomber in terms of overall succes seems wrong IMHO. I mean, Inno hasn't won a GSL either, but MKP has made more finals than him.

Taeja is still not on Maru's level but it would be nice to see him try in Korea again at some point. Not much point though when he can just rake the winnings in elsewhere. Define "Code S level players" If you mean Soulkey, maru, Zest level of players I would probably agree. But I seriously don't think every code s level player can 'destroy' Hero

Perhaps nowdays he is getting more solid, so it happens less often, but I have seen him in some Clan Wars where he lost to some very underrated players, with weak builds. I saw some of Taeja Games from DH, but I actually went to sleep b4 the finals. I dont know why but when it gets to this Korean vs Korean slugfest, even thou there is a big price money, it dosent feel much different than watching proleague or code S matches. Well, for me I mean, not saying its the same, just that it dosent feel different for me.
