Those games were epic-ish but they also became stalemates that were drawn out and not very exciting in the end.

seconded. Daybreak was wayyyyy better than Whirlwind every was. It got a bit lame because of how sorted everything was by the end, but it was a solid map. As good, if not better than Steppes of War.

Denying the fifth is the critical point. Exactly. And in the current metagame, I think denying the 4th is actually very common, at least in the Korean metagame.
I will keep that in mind, I just lost today on this map, after being really ahead in the midgame. I defended every push and drop and had the earlier 2/2, but I didn't counter for the kill and he got his 4th and 5th up and I still died to his 3/3 force.
