It's quite puzzling that people don't seem to care about a group with two korean terrans. I'm basing this on the fact that the lr thread got created just now!
WCS EU S2 Premier - MMA is at ~ 36.66 % chances for top 16 points of 2014 ~ 73.53 % of the time MMA wins and their chances go up to ~ 44.25 %. ~ 26.47 % of the time MMA loses and their chances go down to ~ 15.6 %. ------------------------------------------------- - ForGG is at ~ 25.13 % chances for top 16 points of 2014 ~ 75.54 % of the time ForGG wins and their chances go up to ~ 30.14 %. ~ 24.46 % of the time ForGG loses and their chances go down to ~ 9.66 %. ------------------------------------------------- - LiveZerg is at ~ 0.42 % chances for top 16 points of 2014 ~ 24.07 % of the time LiveZerg wins and their chances go up to ~ 1.42 %. ~ 75.93 % of the time LiveZerg loses and their chances go down to ~ 0.1 %. ------------------------------------------------- - Dayshi is at ~ 0.91 % chances for top 16 points of 2014 ~ 26.87 % of the time Dayshi wins and their chances go up to ~ 2.53 %. ~ 73.13 % of the time Dayshi loses and their chances go down to ~ 0.31 %.

This build is not very good imo. I don't think I've ever seen it work if the zerg doesn't do something stupid. Just wait for the gold to dry out and you win by default.
I could see the build working if MMA had preserved the tanks in the beginning. He could add on more and more tanks+marines and slowly whittle down the zerg's forces by choking him with the tanks' power.
Fuck I always tune in too late to see a foreigner beat a Korean. Anyway, I'd give ForGG a 99% chance to win this series. Dayshi as not that good at TvT, wehereas ForGG is a god in TvT.

Dayshi's TvT is awful according to him
Well, to be fair, ForGG's TvT ain't what it used to be either, still riding a wave from early HOTS. Its good, I just don't think you can say as universally, that ForGG will fuck you up in TvT.

I'm only salty because I wanted him to win so much.
But god, I hate that strategy so much, it's just not good and there's no need to cheese.
No it wasnt a bad strategy. The map distance is so low if you move to the gold base, you can abuse the cliffs there with tanks and shut down main and first expansion of zerg. And all that in very low amount of time cause the walking distance is so low. But he left too late and zerg had already mutas. I like the way he thought about this game, maybe if he plays that out a bit different you can do it.
Daishy has said he hated Merry Go Round when it was just released, I'm sure he has practiced it anyway of course but maybe he's not as comfortable on it as other terrans (lost banshee)
I'd be pissed if LiveZerg made it out of the group. Not because I don't like him, but there are so few Terrans to begin with, and this honestly should have been a group where 2 Terrans advanced. We all know what PvZ in EU looks like

Don't see it happening anyway, ForGG+MMA is still the most likely outcome for the group.

Though there are only 3 Zergs as opposed to 8 Protoss, this is the very last chance to get at least 3 Terrans in so I really hope that happens, followed up by both Zergs tomorrow (even though I like Grubby)

Blinding cloud is somewhat stupid versus mech, as mech units (tanks?) don't have the mobility to ever go out of the clouds. Obviously, having some vikings would help kill those, too, but kamikaze vipers do the job just fine if the vikings don't 1-shot it.
Still sort of cool to see LiveZerg do well, though.
We have now reached the irritating phase of WCS EU/AM where the surprise foreigner is one map from advancing in first spot, but at the end of the day we will see two Koreans go through.

Well it is a big deal in the standard meta, but doesn't really make a difference when you play mech, unless better harass maybe. Livezerg just countered mech perfectly.

Yeah, nothing at all. He made bunch of Hellions and Banshees, did almost no damage while lost a ton of Hellions, let LiveZerg expand and get 4 bases going, while one of them being gold base, and suddenly gets crushed.
Yup, nothing to do with how ForGG played, Zerg is OP obviously...

To be a fair apart of this comes from the Hydra buff. Roach/Hydra is now pretty decent against pure bio which "forces" the terran player to get Tanks --> Blinding Cloud hard counters that shit.
I guess the good thing is that only terrans are left in this group but maybe all 3 manage to get DQed and only Livezerg advances. Would be fitting for the current situation

And notice that livezerg go roach first before forGG even start mech. Livezerg has probably prepare forgg and see forgg go often mech.
And forGG has really weird decision, he attacks vs 200/200roach/hydra/viper.He just needed to camp/get upgrades.

Why is Blizzard so strict with terran players, though? Immediately after terran players figure something out it gets removed. Infernal preigniter, mass ghost snipe, hellbat drops etc - none of them got to be used for very long. But this zerg domination in this particular matchup has gone unchanged for months. I love stomping terrans who bm me on ladder (but lately I've gone all Idra apologizing for my race), but watching the game is just not enjoyable anymore when there are only two competitive races.

One game is never a proof of anything. It's this game, plus the 50 previous TvZ where a superior Terran player goes either bio, biomine, biotanks, skymech... and still fails miserably. In other words, it's the drop of water that makes the vase overflow.
Once again, the "best Terrans out of Korea" claim hits the ground.

If you can out multitask your opponent bio can rek mech pretty hard. MMA probably felt he could do so to Dayshi.

Well, to be honest that's a very fair point. More marines over marauders might also have helped to zone out the vipers. Marine ground to air should be unaffected right?

turtle too hard and you just get outexpanded ;p
That happens to me often on Ladder, but if you have 3 Base you can get to 200 supply and push out.
Why did he sit back after getting such a huge advantage in the early game *facepalm* why did he build +4 command centers instead of building upgrades army / starports why did he not act on his advantages... *facepalm* full foreigner..

I missed that game, how did Dayshi throw it?
his early reaper attack put him up 21-10 in scv count with faster starport and everything. Then he threw down 5 missile turrets after scanning that mma wasnt mining any more gas. MMA got a faster 3rd and took an upgrade lead. dayshi went for battlecruisers with his marine tank. mma took all the better engagements.
So apparently ForGG decided he had to many Hellbats, so he decided to throw them away. Unfortunately for him MMA decided to attack him right after that.

You and I both know MKP doing gold floating is a completely different thing. MKP floating to gold followed by 4 rax marine rally too. It's like soul train, everybody does soul train, nobody does soul train like Parting.
MMA said he is retiring in 2015 and he wanted to win all three seasons. Dropping out so quickly might either encourage him to stay longer or cause him to retire sooner. RIP
I think we had the worse possible outcome today. Two terrans were eliminated - that is bad on its own.
If MMA made it through it would be nice because he was twice in the finals and the game feels too shaky - he go eliminated. If Dayshi made it through it would be nice because he is a great foreigner - he got eliminated too.
Good luck to ForGG I guess - maybe he will surprise us.
