I am not sure about that. Banelings do something like 20 damage to non biological. And thors have 400hp... You would need 20 banes for 1 thor and that is not cost efficient at all. If there is only 1 thor you can easily magic box it if there is no marines backing him up.. It was just a matter of having a huge bank, great remax potential so he didn't probably care.

Very poor decisions by Bbyong running away, losing like 4 full medivacs for next to nothing. If he'd just split and fought, he would have traded for a good chunk of Dark's army. As it was, Dark didn't even have to spend his banelings and just got a 50 supply lead for free, which snowballed all the way to the end.

Lings deal 7/8 damage/hit as well, Mutas deal 8-10 usually. It's mostly just an amove because well, with such a massive lead that's pretty fine

Dark got fooled. This should go to swarmhosts.

hooo boy, swarmhosts ill come back tomorrow then

Bbyong's strategy choices are really bad imo. Overgrowth --> Bio Merry-Go-Round --> Mech Frost --> Mech ???

is it just me or is bbyong's apm strangely low

Zerg don't need to be cost efficient in that situation though. They just need to keep their mutas alive. Also magic box takes time and apm when the mutas could be killing something else. I've noticed pro zergs doing it more and more in the late game recently. A little too much for them all to be accidents.

I really don't like mech - think it's boring most of the times - but seeing how ridiculously bad bio-mine still is I guess terrans are obligated to turtle into a big mech push. The flashy (and balanced!) wol-like TvZ with lots of drop play, multipronged attacks, situations where successful micro could produce a miracle (like happy's marines) is almost extinct

cool timing from bbyong i prefer mvp adding some ravens and more thor heavy though

bbyong still hasn't got the gas at 4th

Ravens instead of banshees probably would have helped. And more banelings on thors.
