Mobile Data in UK cheapppp Then again maybe not if i think about it; £45 a month im paying for my new Samsung S5. 4G and 1GB of data a month. However Vodafone decided that the next 3 months are "free data plans" so i can uses whatever i want mobile data (UK Only) for next 3 months.
Also that £45 gives me free spotify premium (aka £10 a month Spotify) so i guess it balances out? As i was paying £10 a month for Spotify anyway

Zest playstyle is focused around mass zealot, in WoL I played mass zealot supported by immortals and sentries that transitions into mass zealots with colo and archons that zest plays now all the time. I am so happy to see this kind of style destroying other protoss players because its so much fun to play in PvP. I still dont understand why players didnt realize already that he plays it so many times and go for the fast archon mass zealot compo that will delete this in the early stages of the mid game, 2-3 archons pretty much kill 10 zealots instantly.

nice job by him. but i think you'll understand that my comment wasn't 100% serious. and to be fair, Zest would've made JYP look just as bad as he made Tails look there.

I actually do think that there is a thing where Europeans are jerks to Americans and take every chance to take pot shots at them. Maybe it's some kind of weird European nationalism or something. So I think people should take that into consideration.

It goes both ways, that. I wouldn't call it nationalism anyway, more like patriotism or an ego complex. Fair enough, there's no reason to take it too far in an LR thread, but there's also no reason to react in a poor way just because someone cracks a joke about a korean "playing like an american".

Well Bio-Terrans dont have many options to deal with them if Zergs does not run them into Marauders or Thors. Tanks are not used cause of Mutas and Mines just aint what they used to be. Terrans require a very high marine count to fight the Mutas and when there are almost as many Banelings as Marines it does not really matter how well you split.

I really hope Terrans will start playing more mech. It is so worrying when you see someone like MMA micro and split in several locations at once. What will happen to his wrist, and what problems could a lifetime of such wrist movements lead to later in life?

Yeah but Mech is terrible until your like 150/160 supply. The roach timings you can hit vs Mech is a joke. Early mech dies to Muta if you don't scout it or roach timings. If you can get to 150/160 supply on semi even footings you can do well, other than that Mech is just not worth it.

Yes, I very much prefer to watch bio too (in fact, I think bio vs zerg is the most entertaining thing to watch starcraft wise), but it shouldn't come at the expense of the player's health. Also, I think mech would me much more entertaining if there were no swarm hosts.

Well the Raven is kind of a science vessel, the problem is that you can run out of range of HSM. Irridate will always kill the unit^^ Though it would be pretty strong with smart-cast

Wolf casts everything these days. You won't find an English stream in Korea without Wolf in it.
code S used to be tastosis only though, no?
Wolf was casting 3/4 with either Tasteless or Artosis last season, except for the finals. Tbh, Tasteless was ill a bit last season and Artosis was at SSC. I guess, Tasteless is still jetlagged and sleeping.

3/4s of the code S cast was done by wolf?
code S lost half its value q_q to me anyway
unless we get like back to 100% tastosis in the future again. tastosis was exclusive to code S which was one of the reasons I would tune in regardless of what was going on if I ever hapened to be in a position to watch it

SoS, Life or Maru could shut down Zest. Don't know if they will but in my opinion those are the ones that has the greatest chances to take a series off of Zest. Maybe if herO gets back in the groove he can take him down =) Always enjoy watching herO when he's on fire ^_^

Either Maru or sOs will win this season. Or if Zest gets eliminated by JinAir duo, someone from SKT T1 who isn't PartinG will win :D

With all the complaining about twitch I don't know how more people aren't aware you can watch any twitch stream via VLC...
^^^ All the instructions there. Not really hard to set up . Maybe I'll make a blog post about it tomorrow. Through VLC you can change the aspect ratio... stream rarely lags... you can adjust brightness, hue, sharpness, etc. always have used it to watch SC2. .
No commercials though so... i know someone's gonna be mad about it...

Maru's TvZ isn't "bad," and he definitely has his chances in a bo3 against many of them, if only because of his superb 11/11, but I wouldn't bet on him against the likes of Solar, DRG, Rogue, Soulkey, ByuL or soO, and apparently Dark, and the rest is still dangerous.

DRG will again lose in Ro16 to Protosses, Rogue and Byul won't make out from groups, SKT Zergs will crash Maru and Solar is weirdest kid in the planet. Or Byul will make out from groups and Solar won't, but Byul isn't particularly impressive in ZvT.

Maru might've just been resting for a bit before GSL, he was the only one to beat Zest last season. I think in addition to those players, Supernova could possibly do it.
Lost the MSC so no possibility to keep Terran at home. And decided to go Charge and four more gates mass gateway-army rather than colossus or templars.

After reading that balance report update thread, it makes sense in what blizzard said in TvZ. If Zerg can get to mid late game their economy just carriers them so far that they are miles ahead. Aka a 19minute mark he is sat with 1.5k min bank and like nearly 1k gas, its impossible to beat that as a Terran, impossible unless your mech and turtle your way through it.
The casters need to realize hitting a thor with banes isn't an accident. Zerg are doing it all the time now since all that matters is nothing can oppose their mutas. It's a quick way to get rid of a threat, and they can easily afford it in the late game.

well you need to trade effeciently, otherwise you die.bbyong did the opposite of trading effecient, losing that first huge chunk of army was pretty game breaking. if toss doesn't trade effeciently against zerg you can also say it's broken which it isn't

I am not sure about that. Banelings do something like 20 damage to non biological. And thors have 400hp... You would need 20 banes for 1 thor and that is not cost efficient at all. If there is only 1 thor you can easily magic box it if there is no marines backing him up.. It was just a matter of having a huge bank, great remax potential so he didn't probably care.
Very poor decisions by Bbyong running away, losing like 4 full medivacs for next to nothing. If he'd just split and fought, he would have traded for a good chunk of Dark's army. As it was, Dark didn't even have to spend his banelings and just got a 50 supply lead for free, which snowballed all the way to the end.

Lings deal 7/8 damage/hit as well, Mutas deal 8-10 usually. It's mostly just an amove because well, with such a massive lead that's pretty fine

If there is only 1 thor you can easily magic box it if there is no marines backing him up.. It was just a matter of having a huge bank, great remax potential so he didn't probably care.
Zerg don't need to be cost efficient in that situation though. They just need to keep their mutas alive. Also magic box takes time and apm when the mutas could be killing something else. I've noticed pro zergs doing it more and more in the late game recently. A little too much for them all to be accidents.
I really don't like mech - think it's boring most of the times - but seeing how ridiculously bad bio-mine still is I guess terrans are obligated to turtle into a big mech push. The flashy (and balanced!) wol-like TvZ with lots of drop play, multipronged attacks, situations where successful micro could produce a miracle (like happy's marines) is almost extinct

i actually like high-level mech vs swarmhost games as long as they don't take 3 hours.
I really like how committed Dark is to protecting his economy, he will rather pull his mutas back and clean up harassment than risk losing his lead by counter attacking for little gain.
Also, Dark is one the best players I've seen when it comes to being aggressive with his hosts, he knows exactly when and where to push and when to fall back. Watching 15 hosts off creep with no support spawn 2 waves and then die will ever cease to aggravate me.
But why is that the case now when nothing has changed in TvZ for a while? I.E, how has the MU become imbalanced?

I still haven't seen it win.
Is mech usually good against zerg and I have only seen defeat because of bad luck, or is it really terrible ?
Nothing wins consistently against pro zergs right now. Terran can take off single games, but a series is seriously hard unless the zerg makes some big errors.

Well, if Mvp vs Has just finished and was played live and Bomber vs Has was played before that in a KOTH, there are no surprises, regardless who the players are.

Except this is pretty unprecedented, even at the most "unbalanced" instances with gomtvt and bl/infestor there were still variety of races in the finals, now we've had 18 finalists with only 2 terran and no tournament wins in 2014. I challenge you to find any period comparable.

You really want to connect balance with amount of races in finals? Like, seriously? If Terrans can't make it to GSL but happy to grind wins in Proleague or get money in foreign tournaments/leagues, it's not problem of balance.

In fact, it is. If there's only 3 to 5 Terrans in the world capable of earning wins/money vs lower tier Zerg/Protoss or even foreign tier Zerg/Protoss, there is something wrong.

There aren't too many lower tier players in GSL so I don't know what you're talking about. Maybe you mean someone like MVP Tails who got knocked out by BByong yesterday? I don't think Tails is necessarily "lower tier." He's just more of a Proleague type player due to his penchant for best of 1 games. BByong might be a little bit better, but he's not on a radically different level. Or maybe you mean that someone like Dark (who knocked out BByong) is a mediocre Zerg? I don't know much about him, but he wouldn't be in the GSL and on a major team if he were some scrub.

What is wrong? Terrans getting tons of wins in SPL and then choking in Code A? It's not problem of balance, it's problem of Flash, TY, Fantasy and company who can't advance because they played bad. Can you say that SuperNova is better player than they? No. But he's in Code S for 9th time in a row.
Mvp has wrist issues, same with TaeJa, MMA and Bomber know that they won't perform in Code S, because of it they play in other regions, aLive failed because he played bad last and this season, Polt is still wrecking competition, jjakji and ForGG are still competent and InNoVation is still alive as well. + Terrans whine because in GomTvT and other times of Terran and Zerg domination - never there were as many top Protosses as right now. And still Terrans always whined that Protoss op, that deathball wrecks and stuff. Nothing changed about it, only skill of top Tosses grew up a lot. And this Code S will be won by Zerg anyway, you'll see.

Maybe it is just easier as terran to choke and play bad? What about that. You simply say "terran players were bad at that day and the toss players are all superior mentally". You should ask yourself if exactly that is part of the problem, terran is harder to play and thus if you don't play on your 100% lvl you just lose relatively easy to the other races?! I get kinda angry when i read your post tbh and i am not even a terran player, i just think the current state of terran in comparison to zerg and protoss is kinda sad.

How many terrans are that you are refering to? If you mean TY, Flash and Maru: there is a reason they got nicknames like "GOD". Because they even win when they have an inferior race. They found a way that only works for them, to work around the imbalance.

that is absolutely what is the problem with the game. You have to constantly harass, pressure, trade, defend, micro and macro as terran. Can't lean back. It is similar with other races but not the same: In TvP you don't watch your army 1 sec, you can die to the power of storms. Or you don't split perfectly in TvZ, then banelings might just hit your army. And as terran there is always the problem: if you trade away your whole army, you are dead, cause you cannot remake enough units fast enough. While protoss can even warpin units faster in the TERRANS main then the terran can produce units in the main, because of warpin mechanic. Between winning and losing, there is a much smaller line as terran. I don't say Z or P are very imba to terran, but I do say thx to some mechanics, toss is way more forgiving. Like blocking out things with forcefields. Or you can deathball with one army group. Defense at home? 1-2 Chargelots and a templar is enough against a 4-Medivac-Doomdrop (see flash vs rain: Flash simultanously dropped out of 4 medivacs in the main of rain, 4 medivacs in the natural, did NO damage, lost everything. How? Feedback, Storm and while the chargelots go to work rain just needs to warp in some units, there is overcharge as well if needed.)
And also thx for stating that all the best terran players and the only one who were competitive over a long period of time, have now wrist issues, while that is not a common thing with other races. Could this be even a physical proof, that terran wins are hard work?

Cheekymonkey you are 100% right, this is so 100% true. Every matchup with a Terran involved is so much more fun to watch then PvZ or the mirrors. Yeah I even enjoy TvT more. Because of the complex mechanics and because of the multitasking and awesomeness required to pull of a win with terran (slightly exagerating ). I have to quoute you again:

but then again it IS a problem, if the race that is most enjoyable to watch is non-existent in some leagues anymore, therefore you can't watch it anymore. It's like over night every Tawny Roberts video on the web is being deleted
Can we please stop the Terran elitism a bit? Please guys, it's really infuriating to see this kind of comments spamming everywhere, and really, it doesn't solve anything, nor adds anything to what we should be discussing: who's our favourite player, who we think will win, current meta, how awesome Starcraft is, etc....you know, the good things.

I don't think its elitism. People care about the game, so they are giving their opinions and if we don't speak up now sc2 will continue to die out. if you ask any sc2 fan they will for the most part say their favorite matchups include a Terran in it, and with so few Terrans doing well; the game is getting boring fast
Not sure how much longer sc can go on like this tbh.

I've seen *few* threads where people discuss and give their opinions in a respectful way, without trying to make the other person feel miserable. Of course I'm all about people giving their opinions and discussing stuff. What I tried to say is that we should stop this "my race is better" attitude, and the "your achievements mean nothing because your race is OP" thing. (I'm wasting my time tho. Silly me.)
On the other hand, SC2 won't get any better with this sh*t flooding every single thread. It will only get worse. Tell me about one single person that feels better after reading all this. And the people who speak this way know it, but it seems they don't care about the game and just want to win a fight on the internet.
Meh, in the end, I ended up ranting just as everyone else -.-

Terran Match-ups may be more entertaining are also entertaining just less so(not in a hugely major way) IMO.

Are you seriously comparing top 3 Terran with foreigners ? And volatile and over-prepared Bo1 to Bo3 and Bo5 ? Assimilating global terrans underperformance with "bad luck" ?
If you want to evaluate top Terrans, compare them with the top of the other races. And in series, bo3, preferably bo5. You don't need a degree in theoretical Statistics to understand that.
What's the bo3/bo5 win ratio of the very top T (Maru, Innovation, BByong) against the very top Z (sOO, Life, Soulkey) since Zerg adapted to the WM nerf (late 2013, 2014) ? How many time did T take down the very top P (Zest, Parting, sOs) recently ? The win ratio is far below 45%. Only thing which makes it 45-50% ish is the fact that top 3-5 T is competing with top 15 Z/P.

I won't rate Bbyong in top-3 terran even ahead of TaeJa with wrist issue, Bomber and Polt. And it's soO, not sOO.
Since WM nerf? Maru always was struggling against top-Zergs, InNoVation is like losing to everyone despite who is against him from tops.
