New Format: Arcade Edition Folks were wondering just what ESGN meant if anything when they said "StarCraft II Arcade Edition" as opposed to "Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition". Turns out this is how ESGN is spicing it up after every winner in Season 1's King of the Hill (TLO, Mvp, Nestea, Socke and HasuObs) chose to stop after one win and keep the money. As Frodan explains,
This round, we're doing a competition using SC2 team arcade games! Each night will have different 4v4 teams that play arcade games. The winning team will receive points. At the end of it all, the top 4 players advance to a single elimination bracket to play regular SC2!

Its something new, and some variation has never hurt. The hearthstone and fighter games fight nights have been really good, so I am really looking forward to this!

Uh, hab station is one of the two best maps in the pool for hosts.

Based on the map, mostly. It is easy to split, swarm hosts can cover every approach without relocating. Chokes makes it easy to land fungals and the smaller size means you can easily have your creep out to put static defense in the center. Well played air toss will demolish any zerg comp on any map, that's not really indicative of anything.
You anecdotal experience may be different, but this is pretty much THE swarm host map, along with Yeonsou and Sejong Station to some extent.

could you give me recent results of it then?
No idea where to find relevant statistics, nothing on TLPD. Protoss has been stomping every zerg in PL other than Roro lately on pretty much every map, so I'm not sure what we're looking for. The map features are favourable for Host play, that does not mean zerg will beat protoss on that map.

well thats what I was saying... Swarm hosts used to beat protoss but protoss adapted and found good counters to swarm host
Stephano is behind the meta, he should have tried something else

Well that has nothing to do with the map. If the meta has shifted and hosts are now less good, they are still better on hab station than on say, Frost or Alterzim. If your argument is simply that swarm host turtle is being figured out, then sure.
Edit: I'm still convinced Roro and Stephano are the only zergs in the world who do it right, but whatever.
It`s really entertaining and refreshing SC2 show. Reminds me that korean TV show (forgot name) where Flash and Stork were playing some arcade games when HOTS was in beta.
These last two matches have been so good lol. I usually don't enjoy these custom map streams, but ESGN's production makes this really nice. Like a game show.
i wish they wouldve used the player microhphones during the matches, there was so much shouting going on, a really cool part of the show thats missing right now maybe for season 3!
