The game was really dreadful. I mean, it was exactly a showcase of the broken mechanics of SC2 which was extremly ugly to watch (note: broken, _not_ imbalanced).

First of all he did an amazing job coming back, Second JD slipped because he got overconfident, and third it's not heros fault that yeonsu is a stupidly easy map to immortal/forcefield all in.
Well a lot of fans are dissapointed, and this is a nice place to vent your frustration unfortunately...

I'm not whining or complaining. Speak for yourself.

Dear dairy,
This day I witnessed the highest quality of games I've ever seen. And I have seen some shit.

If he just falls back, makes some drones and masses hydras, hero has zero chance of winning. Again, his over-aggression kills him. And he never learns.
Fuck everything, I'll go drink some battery acid now or something.
Lol. JD is so terrible with his consistent top 4 finishes. He never learns how to play decently. Must be hard to be butthurt all the time.

so sad. jaedong was soooo close to get 2nd place

Something about that seems very wrong to me.
I mean it's cool that some units work well together, but immortals are too strong too begin with, pair them with a Warp Prism and they're invincible against Lair tech units. he threw away 40 supply of roaches for 1 immortal when he went to counter attack , god knows why.... if he keeps those 20 roaches and have all his hydras , he crushes the 3rd attacks and wins.. he made a mistake and lost because of it. it wasnt a broken startegy or anything like that , you make mistakes in this level you let your opponet win , thats it everyone else here are just blind and calling out the build imba or what not ..... please rewatch the game and see how JD just throws the game him self (sick play from hero to capitalize)

Super sick micro by Hero... but seriously? 2 times gets crushed, but 3rd time is the charm b/c of the power of protoss.
Buff hydra, nerf swarmhost, games will feel less imba than these last 2

HerO eliminated ForGG, Innovation and JD which were like the 3 players i wanted in finals along with rain. Please Polt i'm entrusting myself to you now, avenge them !

That last game was epic. The whole series was epic. We saw cheese from both sides, amazing holds, stunning harassment, stellar late game army control from both sides, improbable comebacks, and dramatic momentum swings. Many of you willl probably continue to express how this series is "why you hate sc2" but this is why I love it

hero the new all in king!

Fuck balance whine, Hero micro'd his ass off. Beautiful to watch.
|
Why are people complaining? Matches like that need to possible for games to remain interesting. When I saw the openings that last game I was prepared for a boring match of Jaedong eventually steamrolling but Hero somehow managed to engineer a win from his predicament. It was a great match between two great players.

because the viewer count always drops during breaks

So much bitterness about balance and all that shit. How about you just focus on the fact that this was one of the most tense and exciting games of SC2 (imo)? HerO micro'ed really awesomely and Jaedong did amazingly as well.

Yeah, it's been so sick.

On February 17 2014 06:50 SmoKim wrote:How Zerg and JD fans have it right now + Show Spoiler +Seriously, why throw away your lead with counter attacks o.o sick comeback by HerO
Yeah actually, after he held the attack I was so happy, then watching him use 20 roaches on doing what he did.. I wanted him to retreat so badly. If he had, he could've flanked the army on the open ground from the start which would've won him the game right there. No way Hero could've dealt with 20 roaches in his back, even with 1 more immortal.
But I have to admit, like Patiences mistake with that large air engagement on alterzim stronghold, it takes a great player to even capitalize on mistakes like that and make the most out of it. This tournament is really full of great games, but I have to get out of bed again in 7 hours so I'll just hope for an even more awesome final for you guys <3
