That was a pretty nice ZvZ series. Very nice to see a lot of the different builds currently in the meta game and how they play out vs eachother. I still think the double upgrade style that Solar did in on Polar Night and DRG did on the last map is pretty bad.

I can understand if you think the series was cool, I did too, but I have no idea where you are seeing so many different builds and meta-game shifts, I mean it was basically the same thing that has been done in WoL and HoTS so far.

I guess it can be hard to understand the differences for people who don't play zerg. ZvZ has developed quite a lot tho. It used to be either the standard early gas into ling/bane/muta wars or gasless 4queen ~5:30 double gas into double upgrades without ling speed and 8 min third. Then the single upgrade roach push were used to deny muta players third.
People then realized you can take a really early third base against gasless and just get ahead in economy then go roaches yourself, so people started going gasless 5min double gas with speed first and do a ~30+ speedling attack to kill opponents third while getting your own third up, so now people don't really go for very quick third bases. Lately this 2 queen + roach speedling attack of gasless also got quite popular, so it's quite interesting to see these mind games/different gas timings in how to get a third up.
This is why I think gasless styles are way more interesting due to all the different things you can do as opposed to the gas ling bane into whoever can get 1-2 more mutas out.
