Fixed. ;p originally i said tournament, is it not? need help here please (: it's a special event. i don't call it a tournament. So, small invitationals are not tournaments? Actually, what is the meaning of the word "tournament" in English, asking just out of curiosity? I thought any competition with more than 2 people is essentially a tournament, regardless of rules.
and exactly how many special events have we had dating back to the Brood War days? That's what I thought. Technically Battle Grounds is a special event like the other ones.

Plenty of people shifted the metagame that weren't like sOs.

Scarlett lost after being up 2-0 and I would agree she didn't play perfectly in the games, get over it. sOs is a fantastic player and so is Scarlett. Good luck to her vs MC, I think she can do it, but when sOs got into the game without much going wrong for him he looked like the better player. Lets see if MC can match that.
People need to stop the QQ

And honestly we haven't had a PvP final in a while, I'm not adverse to it any more.
Mainly because it's parting, like i wouldn't watch a naniwa or idra final

Brace for the incoming "I'm not watching the rest of this"-posts. I don't watch football games with teams I don't care about, so why would I watch Starcraft matches with players I don't care about? This whole "Oh, we're the purists, we just like seeing the best players, who cares who they are" schtick is great for those of you who want to feel superior, but no one gives a shit. So you don't watch world cup finals? The superbowl? A ton of people watch Monday Night Football in US even if their favorite teams aren't playing. You didnt just compare world cup finals to redbull newyork finals. nononoo
Whaaat but I thought eSports were mainstream?!

yep... Soul Train. sHy definitely knows how to mix things up though. He's an enigma, but he definitely needs to stay grounded.

You shift the metagame by making changes, whether it be new builds, new strategies, new compositions, etc. That's what they all have in common, a willingness to try new things.

PvP has been pretty exciting to watch these days, so much diversity of builds and strategies. I'm excited.

She came so close though. Would have been nice if she used some of those spines to actually defend her third. She just couldn't keep up anymore. Game 3 could have been it I think. Now for a PvP final Maybe. Maybe if the map pool was a little bit more balanced so game 4 or 5 is on Derelict watcher she wins it. yeah 3 toss maps in a row really hurt her. I've never seen the map from Game 4, it looked atrocious for Zerg. Small chokes all over the place, hallways, no way to surround and super close spawn. Might have been a different series with a better pool. Oh well. The 3rd and 4th maps are laughable, even worse than the last map. I can let that last map slide in a bo5. But cloud kingdom and that one with the gold expansion are not passable maps for a tournament.

I mean there is a clear difference between an 8 player tournament thats basically an invitational and WCS. Still pretty top teir competition here today.

Or in Creator's case, bashing your head against a wall for 1.5 years to perfect PvT.

I don't like when Smix tries to give analysis. We have casters. We have analyzers. You are a translator and interviewer. Ask questions and translate the answers.
Actually the whole translating her own questions is quite awkward. I'd rather have someone else ask the questions and she just translates.
