Sometimes I get annoyed when I see that the players aren't facing each other, but it's too big a bother to photoshop everyone. I wish there were a way to horizontal flip images with bbcode

I definitely won't deny that some people who always talk about how great BW is don't bother watching sospa anymore. I'm in the " BW so good " camp but I haven't watched in ages because I don't find the semi pro competition interesting(if jangbi and bisu play I might watch again).

I only watch Sospa while at the gym, I've seen maybe 1/5 of it or something. Actually more like 1/10th I didn't pay attention to the earliest ones
Im obviously cheering for Keen but who should I pick for 2nd place? I want to cheer for one of the P players. Maybe I should pick the underdog among the P but who is it? Trap?

Trap is def the underdog, he's great against Z but less so against others
i dont get why anyone would try to harass rain on 2 bases any more. why are they testint his best skill (defense on 2 base) again and again? why not super fast third?

I don't think 1-1-1 is a bad choice against Rain, he has lost against variations of it in the past. Does he always go for the cannon in the mineral lines?

He does it often enough that Artosis called it minutes before it was started.

Ok. Maybe a variation with hellions then, think it was Gumiho that did it on Bel'shir to great success.

SuperNova. It was on Daybreak for GuMiho.
Oh, GuMiho had also used a full proxy in the Bel'shir Vestige game, yes.

Hey, Mvp will win Blizzcon and you should know that
I think It's more likely he loses in the first round, seems like he's not working very hard since the wcs s1 finals judging by the level of play he's shown.

Dat lazy 4 times Code S winner!
I know you're being sarcastic but I'm not joking. He's already achieved so much success that It's probably hard to maintain motivation to keep winning those titles. This is the only explanation I have for his poor play for the last 2 seasons since it shouldn't be because of his injury, seeing as he's won GSL's while injured before.

Oh yeah. I can't remember anything anymore.

I think a lot of people feels the same way. MvP vs Stephano was clearly the best final to watch with the king of wings vs the best foreigner truly amazing.
Hope MVP will make a comeback and Scarlett will rise from ashes of Stephano to be the ONE foreigner that can kill Korean code S

Yeah as much as I wasn't really a fan of Stephano I really miss him bossing it up at tournaments, as good as Scarlett and Naniwa are it seems like Korea is no longer challenged. Korea has won every single premier tournament in HotS so far.

a failed harassment by KeeN into Rain killing KeeN's natural into KeeN not leaving the game for like 10 minutes despite being miles behind. Be glad you missed it.

Good Game. I like seeing Terrans confront storms like that. As long as P has no follow up storms are not as scary as they seem. It must be so demoralizing to land 15+ storms on the T army as still lose.

You really cry hard about Terran right? Do you believe Rain should have won wanting to 2 base allin, being reflected and 2 upgrades behind with the proper counter and mass medivacs on the field, losing his natural because he did land 2 very good storms when KeeN did retreat? I disagree, but I am pretty sure in your mind rain was ahead.

Don't mind him, dude. Naruto never stops flying the flag for the Terran race. Even when he thinks he doesn't.
Only way I've seen T win at a high level without SCV pull is when they do some sick drop damage, but never in straight up fight. Keep in mind those times have been rare.

The thing he should have rectified is not going up ramps against storm/coloss and not splitting.
also i don't understand why he didn't pull scvs, he had a decent timing to hit with it. it almost looked like he wanted to do it but then didn't for no reason D:

You really cry hard about Terran right? Do you believe Rain should have won wanting to 2 base allin, being reflected and 2 upgrades behind with the proper counter and mass medivacs on the field, losing his natural because he did land 2 very good storms when KeeN did retreat? I disagree, but I am pretty sure in your mind rain was ahead.

Hahaha, really? I would say that someone who says "KeeN will 4-0 , because I can't see any other outcome with PvT" might be a bit whining, so how in hell did I fly the Terran flag with that? Its simply true that Rain had that game lost.

na, he didn't want to do it. It was only Artosis making it sound like he would, but meanwhile Keen was building CCs, adding a second ebay and armory and moebius reactor. Though if he hadn't been supply blocked multiple times in the midgame, I guess it would have been a really strong option with the setup he had.

Sorry but in what world is "I cannot see KeeN with another result but 4-0 because its TvP" not a balance whine and not baiting for a comment? Sorry its not about negativity, I can respect other peoples opinion very well, but don't be whiny because someone called you out on that whine. And really, it was nothing short of it.
Edit: Btw I am also perfectly fine with Rain winning over KeeN, he is superior in all ways in my opinion.

To be fair, not backing down from storms and swarming only works when you are far ahead like KeeN was in game 2. We saw what happens if you try to do the same when the game is more even like in game 3...

I was expecting sOs to roflstomp this group with his 75% PvP win rate but if he doesn't advance that's a better chance of Mvp and aLive making it to BlizzCon.... So I'm pleasantly surprised by this. :D

Time for another PvP. And then bed. Work tomorrow.
yep PvP is the one matchup where you will never be sure what the players will do. There are just so many viable openings that pretty much anything goes and unexpected outcomes happen.

not when the 2 gasses cost the same as a whole gateway. It's always a stretch defending 2 gate zealots with 1 gate, except now you spent gateway money on offensive gasses and your gateway is also late.

Also, in Rain vs Keen games, were the first and third game really bad, or is it just that Protoss beat Terran and people mad?
Game 1 was not a very good one. Game 2 was a good game, as was Game 3 for the smart play by Keen. His control let him down in Game 3, though. He missed a possible scv pull timing, let Rain back into the game a little, and then marched his army up a ramp into storms and lasers before giving up his Vikings in a vain attempt to kill Colossi. GG.

What micro? There is no micro possible vs charge zealots and Collosus. He was defending also so there was no posibility to retreat into an open ground.

What micro? There is no micro possible vs charge zealots and Collosus. He was defending also so there was no posibility to retreat into an open ground.
.. the fact that you believe you cant / dont have to micro makes me think you are just a troll and that i shouldnt even respont to you.
but i'll do it anyways. he didnt focus the archons which basicly had 10 health, and he could have snipped both colossi at the end if he stimmed again and focus fired

tough call for this series, I like sOs a lot but I've been liking Trap more and more D: I think it would be better if Trap made it through, with Dear and Trap in ro8 that would be a nice boost of confidence for Soul.

Hell yeah, everytime someone wants to talk to me i can now say: " sorry, i gotta go into that dungeon and kill some monsters"
I really gonna get that game! Maybe im going to get that ultra realistic Zombie shooter and WW2 game aswell

SoS had like absolutely no micro during that first big fight where the nexus almost died. His 3 immortals were hardly attacking and when they did they were hitting zealots and sentries. It would be hard to micro that much worse without intentionally killing your units.

Except Trap as we just saw. There was no way he wasn't gonna target it if he had health bars.
He blink with too much stalkers to kill sOs immortals. He probably could have blinked less and kill both the immortals and the nexus ensuring his victory.

The original what?
Song/poem? Or did you just write that for yourself? Seems like it was from somewhere and you changed some of the words.
The battle where the nexus didn't die was surreal, sOs had 2 of his 3 immortals no shooting when just 2 actions could make space for them while Tarp just forgot the nexus, pretty wtf moment.

kinda sad sOs lost but as I said earlier I think it's better if Trap goes on to join Dear in ro8. Soul may get some confidence now with two players doing well in WCS~

it wasn't just the control. sOs forced Trap to go for a final engagement by killing his third but then forgets the make zealots/archons to tank. 6-8 zealot and an archon wins him that fight.

Pretty obvious that he tried to right click a colossus and missed it and issued a move command instead. It can happen to anyone. However, it was pretty bad unit control all through the series.
But I guess everything that isn't stutterstepping or splitting isn't micro in the eyes of Terrans like you.

Mhm, TvT ?
Not really. In PvP you can open with every tech route, you can fast expand, you can do crazy cheese like cannon rushes, proxy gates, you can proxy pretty much everything, you can go every tech route and cheese with it, you can go every tech route and macro with it.
TvT is either bio/tank or mech. PvP can be pretty much everything. Void ray compositions, mass phoenix, chargelot/archon/immortal, colossus compositions are all viable albeit not equally effective at every stage of the game and against everything. And those are just general unit compositions, there's about a million ways to play around with them and to get there.

You can not only open with all routes of tech in TvT, but you can do a lot of their variations as well, from gas first into fast starport, reactor hellion expand, reaper expand, 14 CC and etc. As well in TvT you can have have most interesting mid game compositions (Marine/Tank, Mass Hellion/Viking/Banshee, Pure Bio, Pure mech). Also, you can go either bio, mech or sky terran at later stages at the game. While compositions in PvP gets pretty stale and similar.
And with that last sentence, you just sound like a blind protoss fan with not much of TvT knowledge.

First, why are you arguing this here? I put the blame on you DLO for making an outlandish claim that works as trollbait.
Second, bio/tank and mech cannot be compared to stargate or robo or twilight tech. When did you last see a protoss lategame army that does not consist of all of those? There might be a question whether to add stargate at all, but generally the idea is to try to get away for more teching without dying. This seems to be very different from the fundamental difference in style between bio, bio/tank and mech as those exclude each other. It does not make sense to say that the bio player teched up to mech. Or that the bio/tank player teched up to mech. That just does not happen.

Tbh TvT only has 1 tech route so comparing it to PvP is incorrect. Granted both of those match-ups are pretty good to watch.

There are only two general tech routes though, mech and bio. You can open starport but you'll have to transition into either one of them immediately after or you lose. You can open hellion drop or proxy something, same story. In PvP you can either transition out or stay on that tech. You can switch anytime you see an opportunity whereas going from one to the other in TvT is impossible. PvP feels a lot more flexible than TvT.

So my opinion is only my opinion, but yours' is an argument ?(Despite me pointing out reasons why I think so) Also, then what is a tech route ? You compare two fundamentally different races, but pick only those 'arguments' about tech choices that supports your opinion and dismiss others ? I can oversimplify protoss play style the same as you did with terrans: you either go gateway tech focused or robo focused. You can open with stargate to harass but transitioning to it during early game is impossible because you will die. Isn't the same with TvT? Having a raven, few banshees or some vikings is considered as a transitioning out of starport opening, but mixing in few voidrays or some phenixes is 'another available tech route in PvP'. And no, you can transition in TvT, and if you payed at least any attention to high level past-mid game TvTs you would have noticed smooth transitions to skyterran (from both meching player and bio player), bio with tank support (form bio player against meching player) and even raven viking (from bio player with a lot of spare gas). At later stages of the game, you will even see ghosts to EMP ravens and BC. Also- nukes. Your discussion skills and cherry picking is just silly.
So what you feel doesn't mean a lot, and majority of people do agree that TvT still holds the title as most flexible and interesting match-up of all (however it must be played at korean level to be so). And you can notice that by reactions of viewers after every good TvT in any major tournament. Same can't be said about PvP.

One could say I am the blind protoss fan (TheDwf would I guess ^^), but really it does not apply to DLO. I actually sometimes found that he sounded more like a terran fanboy. But he's not neither, he just gives his impressions on the game that's it.

Doesn't really matter if PvP is more ""flexible"", doesn't really matter what they make or switch up, they're all protoss units in the end Nothing can match the beauty of TvT : ) It's What a real RTS game should look like!!
I don't like TvT too much for the above quoted reasons, and kinda like the PvP in HotS for all its variations. But tastes cannot be discussed I guess

Not really. In PvP you can open with every tech route, you can fast expand, you can do crazy cheese like cannon rushes, proxy gates, you can proxy pretty much everything, you can go every tech route and cheese with it, you can go every tech route and macro with it.
TvT is either bio/tank or mech.

You don't like terran much, i can see that from all your whining posts about them. TvT is typically the most popular matchup to watch and has been for a long time. Many of the most highly recommended games and memorable games are TvT. Of course people have different opinions but generally that's how it is

One could say I am the blind protoss fan (TheDwf would I guess ^^), but really it does not apply to DLO. I actually sometimes found that he sounded more like a terran fanboy. But he's not neither, he just gives his impressions on the game that's it.
:O I come off as a terran fanboy? I mean I really like TvZ and TvT but wouldn't say it's because of the terran race, rather because of the way units interact with each other. Same reason I love PvP.

Always depends on whether or not there are swarmhosts
EffOrt vs Classic on Whirlwind was pretty cool
Swarmhosts can be interesting too, just not on one lane maps like Akilon
You know what, I can agree with that. That's always been that way though. As long as you can abuse immobility, be it against swarmhosts, slow protoss deathballs, mech or whatever, I think that's good map design. The stronger army shouldn't always win in my opinion. There should be ways around it, otherwise too many potentially viable styles are eliminated just because you can't eternally dodge their army and will get steamrolled if that happens.

No I mean in the past, you were a huge fan of some terran players iirc. Not that it means you are a terran fanboy anyway. Sorry if my impressions/recalls about you were totally wrong, it wasn't against you anyway, I was actually kinda "defending" you against some accusations of blind protoss fanboyism And I am sure you are not.
Looks like the Semis will be stacked with protoss. This RO8 lacks Terrans with momentum, unless Maru still has it. Innovation is slipping, and had a rather short peroid when he got to top 3 in tournaments and that was during the first few months after HOTS was release. he has been on the decline ever since from what i can tell. Im not saying either is bad, but right now i would say they are just about round 16-level. making Maru advancing might be terrans best chance. I believe he has the best TvP out of any remaining Terran.

Probably most of the people think that but not me. And it has nothing to do with me prefering the protoss race to the terran race.
It's more because of the variety of the m-u. I did hate the PvP in WoL and I remember mentionning it. In WoL TvZ was probably the best m-u to me, I was not a huge fan of TvT compared to TvP and ZvZ, but I recognized several times that it was still much better to watch compared to PvP and PvZ. And these two m-u improved a lot in HotS, so that I now prefer PvP to TvT. I like variations and stuff. The TvT with its positionning and multi prong harass is really cool to see sometimes, but it still has less variations imho.
Also recently I "whine" a lot against these ugly scv pulls, that are really not interesting to watch at all. If only TvP had stayed as it was before the last HB nerf :`(

Most of that is just leftover nostalgia from a time past when all Protoss MUs were bad in Wings. This is no longer the case, the Protoss matchups(sans Terran) are greatly improved and SHOULD be considered the best matchups right now. For whatever reason people are resistant to this idea, but we have seen a lot of fantastic PvZ in HOTS.
