In WoL I would actually agree that Carrier could possibly be the ultimate late game PvP unit but in HotS Tempests exist. Getting enough of them is next to impossible anyway and a hugely unnecessary risk in the position that Monchi was in. You always have better options.

For some reason I can't seem to get myself hyped for these matches, it's like I'm watching chess and not sc2 lol

That's probably the biggest problem, they take FOREVER to build, aren't cheap and pretty terrible in low numbers.

It's part of the meta. People like to play economically greedy so the smarter players are punishing them. Give it a few weeks and everyone will go back to scouting and the cycle will continue forevers.

However, I really do believe as well that it's quite unnecessary sometimes to just straight up gamble and have no chance to win vs certain builds.
The risk vs reward is completely off balance though. The tiny loss of income from scouting is near meaningless, anyone who says different is bullshitting you. Insta win vs insta loss if you just send a single Probe out. If players were actually confident they could hold anything without scouting then not scouting makes sense but otherwise it's just stupid and arrogant.

This song isn't very entertaining (or even tolerable) when you don't speak Swedish.

Gotta love the Swedes. They randomly drop F-bombs in places you don't expect.

I feel like that as well most of the times. Personally I wouldn't like to do a build where I straight up lose like 5% of the games without any chance at winning them.
