And in case you must ask, I didn't put recommended game polls since simultaneous games are difficult due to a.) games running and ending at the same time; b.) split viewership means not many will vote (which results in useless polls anyway); and c.) I get confused when there are too many games T_T

Artosis: Sen really is just getting ready for Macsed to do some aggression, and I can't blame him. If you look at his games in WCS NA, Macsed really does like to do early game pressure against zergs. And there it is, 7 gates sentry attack. Those spines will be of immense help to Sen.

Too bad the audio quality was bad. If they had the mic hooked up, you could have heard me yell INCA when a dt was made or when the stream shut down.
That would have been cool but they had some awesome high frequence noise in the stream so everyone I know who watched it was deaf after a few hours anyway.

i think it is that simple against a better terran he would be in trouble, you already are in trouble when you don't do any damage with your dts and then he fought into the choke with the bunkers, just go back and don't lose those zealots.
am i wrong or isn't it a waste of time to go after a drone scout in your base with SCVs...? your opponent lost its mining time already, you're ahead, it already got a scout, why throw away your own mining time? it's not a probe where it's going to go build a pylon later...

Gunnar glasses are such nonsense. If you are having problems seeing opponents in the distance, turn down your graphics settings or get your eyes checked. More often than not the reason you wouldn't see an opponent is because of draw distance or you weren't looking.

I've heard they're good for if you're on the computer for a long time it helps reduce the strain on your eyes. I think that's all they help with lol

Uninformed statement. I've been wearing gunnars for 3 years now and they're brilliant. They help with dry eyes and eye strain so much, and they put the screen in better contrast so it looks prettier. Not only that but they've never broken in three years of daily wear. One of the best purchases I've ever made.

I've been wondering about this. What differentiates a great nexus cannon from a normal nexus cannon? If he clicks it in a certain way does it do more damage or something?

a normal nexus cannon is when you activate it against mutas and it doesn't do shit. a good nexus cannon is the one which kills 30 lings

You can make a-move armies with each race and have it be good. But I've never seen Huk use mass mass void rays or really fast chargelot archon attacks.

The money is still good and hopefully the rest of the experience for them is good. HuK getting top 3 I think makes it more or less worth it for him even if he doesn't get farther.

This tournament actually isn't too bad. Video & audio quality could be better, but it's generally be gone smoothly and without major tech problems. I recall some tournaments that went a whole lot worse on that front.

AIMAG was a completely mysterious unstreamed tournament that Flash, sOs, Sen, LoveCD, and MacSed attended. Some of the other players didn't show up. Flash decided to go to it than MLG or something. How can anything be worse than that lol

Yeah, I remember when that was happening. I guess it's to be expected it would come in this thread, as it was a disaster with almost nothing streamed. At least they kept a good schedule for this.

Also, they showed something like a BarCraft next door. There were 3 guys watching, but they showed off the Beer + K-On! statues. This was important to show.
The Japanese scene is known to be pretty small, but they production is pretty decent, realistically. We've seen a lot worse.

It was fine for hours, but now the WCG Japan is having problems.
I managed to track down where they are. They're at a pretty nice office building in Yokohama (Kanagawa district), which appears to be one of the offices of a sponsor Solidray. Who had a rep that was repping some games earlier.

The games weren't that good to be honest, lots of weird games and all ins. Basically back to the wol level where Pvz is all about timing attacks. But that's fine given that most people here only care about league. Worst is the league had been pretty disappointing with client constantly crashing. The ending for hka vs Singapore team didn't even show the final engagement. Let's see if the Taiwan teams semi final would look better

It was actually really fun to watch. It was cool watching some new casters as well, the Aussie one is genuinely good. Baby steps for Hong Kong's scene but still, something good can come from it. First MLGs didn't even have means to prevent players hearing the casters.
Sucks that the PCs there weren't good enough and Tastosis had to cast from laptop mics but still, it's been fun for most of us.

Well, incoming disbandment of 3 korean teams, recent retires (and more are incoming) and what not.
people come people go, not really bad news, shouldn't be something new that teams disband, and we had a lot of good news lately. and the season finals were a success, so much pessimism
Really disappointed in the switching back and forth between LoL and sc2 on their stream >_>. What's the point in having tastosis cast sc2 if they're not even gonna broadcast much of sc2

That shit happens in "real" sports all the time too. Look at the up and comers, new teams, new tournaments, continued growth of the scene overall and it all balances out and tips over towards the good.

players retiring is normal, i would say that is "bad" news still though.

SF4 is so much fun. love these fighting games at tournaments, they are just fucking crazy fast-paced and you occasionally see the craziest comeback. Marvel vs Capcom also awesome.

Same reason? Because they actually have enough brain power to comprehend that you can't be a long term caster in this industry by only doing one game. Tastosis have casted plenty of other games before, including warcraft 3 and counter-strike.

Yeah, I remember Tear taking the top third before even taking down the rocks cause KingKong did an inbase hatch (not sure about this, but there was creep at Tear's natural).

Tournaments with regionally separated qualifiers tend to be fairly uneventful. I feel like the only slight surprise was HuK, but he has been playing much better again lately.
What the f*** did I just watch...? I like how they try to get the point across that its ok to prioritize getting really good at LoL over getting a job. Not exactly the PC thing to do in the age of gaming addiction across large swath of Asian teenagers.

I will probably post it in my blog tomorrow, I wrote way too much haha But as a first time tournament I thought that wasn't so bad. its a tournament with multiple games after all. The sound issue was quite annoying. The league of Legend had huge problem but that's due to server issue so I can't blame them. For more, check my blog tomorrow :-D
