you would rather they start on saturday and have the finals on monday?
No, why dont start in the evening? And why you need 3 days to play a 16 players tournament anyway?
It's the season final it shouldn't be a rushed event.
Rushed? How about starting the finals at a decent time? Oh wait, this super important final is dumped in a corner on a gameshow were nobody give two fucks about esports (except the people who come for it) so we need to start the finals at 15.30 CEST....
My god, i thought it would be bad but didn't expect the schedule would be this bad. Well up to the next season finals i guess, 3e time is a charm.
Bad scheduling? Well, they kinda needed to go through 16 matches in a day. And finish in a reasonable time.
Actually it is 20 match in a day ( 5 match per group)
It actually makes sense - it kind of creates a Ro12 for Saturday, when probably more people attend and watch. But still, I can't see them making this on time. Do we know if there will be paralell streams or unstreamed games?

They probably made approximate schedule for the sake of it and should games last too long (Grubby vs HasuObs anyone?) they will just go with groups in a row.

Are you sure? Because while on the "schedule" the groups are scheduled by 2 hours, if you go to the main page and look at "Results" (below the hype video), all the groups say 2 pm ... And if they do it sequentially, it may get really out of hand. 16 bo3s may easily last until 3 am tomorrow morning!

2 pm is the start of the group stage, so i guess all groups are going to be played sequentially. And no, with amount of Innovation, TaeJa and tosses we are not going longer than 10 pm.
How can they possibly think each group is only gonna take 2 hours? That can happen if it's only 2-0's and every game is an all-in, but 2 hours is very fucking optimistic.

But PvP is now the matchup with the longest games, right?! )

Only when played by players who went full foreigner. That HasuObs vs Grubby should have ended like 40 minute before it did. Granted Grubby would not win it then :D

2 matches of each group will be played at the same time.
Group A will have Rain vs. Jaedong on the main-stream and MC vs. Welmu on the second stream.
Winners Match and losers match of the groups are played at the same time aswell.
