Seriously, I normally dont like the bland, humble Korean shtick, but I think Oz should just go ahead and stick to it for the sake of his own tournament success. >_>

A bunch of foreigners no where near as good as the Korean competition getting eliminated as soon as they meet one vs the Koreans good enough to win their own stacked WCS tournament. The current implementation is going to lead to an EPIC global finale at Blizzcon. If they had region locked it, that tournament would be a total joke with all of the REAL competition happening before it. What can Blizzard really do about it though?

The problem with WCS right now IMO is the kind of chain it puts on the entire scene with its point system, there's no motivation to host side events that potentially helps foster local talent. There's WCS and there's really JUST WCS at the moment. That's what's wrong with it. Region Locking isn't the answer.

End the no compete clause in WCS so other tournaments can run at the same time as WCS. That might be something worth thinking about.

NA and Europe aren't going to get any better getting crushed by Koreans from better teams with a better infrastructure that trains them. There needs to be a "foreigner scene" that's separate from the Korean scene that can foster North American and European aspiring pros for the big task of challenging the Koreans in WCS. WCS is for finding the "One Global Champion" which is a great goal that I totally respect. But there has to be a side movement under it that helps stoke the embers to keep the fire going.
