Need For Seat is hosting a Battle of the Sexes showmatch between 2 players who are very near and dear to their and our hearts!
America's Sweetheart Flo "Flo" Flo will take on Dennis"TaKe" Gehlen, the man behind HomeStory Cup and Acer TeamStory in an epic Bo7o3. Basically, whoever wins two best of 7s first will be the winner and walk away with $ 500 !!
The first part of this showmatch is played on Sunday, July 21 on 13:00 PDT, (16:00 Eastern, 22:00 CET).
The second Bo7 will be played on Sunday, July 28.
If Flo and Take are tied, then there will be a final bo7 on a later date which will be announced.
I'll be casting the games tomorrow. Hope to see you guys there! It should be a lot of fun!!
During the showmatch, we will have something special for the viewers as well :D
Although this is a fun showmatch, it is serious as well. The European HQ of Need for Seat is backing up Dennis and, of course, their American counterpart is cheering for Flo. It's the classic struggle of NA vs EU!! Who do you guys think is gonna take it?!

TaKe currently sits at place 11 of his Masters division with 1208 points.
Take is pretty solid in TvT. Its his best matchup by far with 67% winrate. He even had 80-90% in the beginning of the season. Currently hes grinding a lot of ladder... just last week he had a 100 games no sleep marathon. For his ladder ranking thats actually quite bad, so hes mid/high master overall but his TvT is definetely high master, even playing gm players now and then.
I have no idea how good flo is though. Gonna be fun to watch :D
Take's TvT looks pretty solid on his stream. I guess he can take it Awesome to get Rotterdam as a caster for an event like this, perfect fit I guess :D Can we get some smacktalk via Skype before and after the matches maybe?

Take is almost unbeatable in TvT. He has been tearing up the European ladder latlely. So some mid master from the American Server should be no problem. Thorzain? Cursed, and the cruse surly did took over. So, TaKe shoud have no problem.

As I've admitted, I don't know if Flo is a full time progamer. But if she is, I do hope someone who dedicates his/her life to the game will be on a different level from others.

He never calls people streamcheaters, when he calls people out it is for being Snipers, because the sYs clan led by a Protoss called Bordan snipes him all the time.

yeah i never saw him accuse somebody of stream cheating. just stream sniping, which is so common on his stream. About 50% streamsniper games, i would estimate.

that's not how it works, once they have your IP they can DDoS it until you get it changed
getting IP from skype is only possible if you have contact to these people or how? if yes, then someone has the number of rotti and flo.
You can search skype (when adding a person) so you can guess "quanticflo" "flo" etc.. you just need some time to find the right person. If you got that, you can grab the IP off of that with a few websites/tools.

How do you get this from the quoted article? All you need is a proxy for skype or to route your whole traffic over a vpn. There are also hybrid solutions available, where you can specify which services should connect natively and which programs should use the vpn. But if skype is really the weak link here, then connecting it through a proxy should be sufficient (as longs as a dos'er doesn't find another way to retrieve your ip).

when I see idle workers in games with korean pros they are usually pulled for repair duty. I have never seen a korean pro just forget about his building scvs in any significant fashion.

Take uses scvs to repair his army, if everything is fully repaired, he might have idle scvs. Sometimes as you explained we use workers to build and forget to re-shift. Sometimes you get something cancelled etc. There are thousand reasons, but first of all, its what I just explained. Terran is mechanically very demanding. You need a lot of multitasking and attention in the fights and reproducing, so having idle workers is 'less' important. Ofcourse its still a mistake, but its the smaller one compared to losing your army or getting caught out of position.
I don't know whether Dennis is playing really well for a non-pro or Flo is very lackluster. I didn't expect the games to be this close. I thought she made #1 GM in NA.

In fact I do think flo is quite disappointing, she is a full time pro gamer and he has problems to beat a guy who does play casually and only played a lot for like 2 weeks? Yeah he is good, but what we see here is not pro gamer level, its what it is, and that is high master

as a Flo fan i'll admit Take impressed me in this match, he really is on the doorstep of becoming a pro, despite being busy with a lot of other esports-related activities
to be fair, there are tons of master and grandmaster players that have a fulltime non-sc2 related job and are better than take is. Sure it's hard to say how much effort everyone is putting into it.

Yes she is low-tank count player and adds a lot of hellbats, in addition to her lack of medivacs as ThorZaIN I believe told her to cut them after the first game (too much gas and supply) and takes air-advantage makes her style weak against what he is playing. Against a superior tank count you need the medivacs to boost your hellbats into tanks, otherwise your hellbats evaporate and you are left with a lower-tank count. Take even focuses the tanks first (you can see it ingame) because he knows if the tanks are town, there is no threat to him.

that engagment by flo... presplitting and then a-moving everything so it clumps up again T_T takes tvt still very impressive. no wonder he had a > 80% winrate at some point with his mech :D

that last game so emotional, looks like two tired boxers throwing their fists at each other carelessly flo was going a little too much economy-oriented - more bases and more harass - but take had the stronger army and won
flo needs to work more on her tank siege-unsiege tactical sense, throughout the series it was an issue

flo has too many scvs in every game. Its just wrong to build more than 66 scvs in TvT (if you want to be nit picky find the 5% of situations where it can be useful) You build orbitals with mules. That doesnt cost supply. In some games she even had up to 90... yeah she has more money, but shes either not able to spend it all / doesnt spend it on tanks.
Then it looks like she was so ahead but its just worthless supply

i didnt watch a single dreamhack game, but all 7 games of this series. was funny except the problems in the beginning, but im happy for take. i know he would have been DEVASTATED if he lost that. he's an awesome dude, but not the sportsman-kinda-guy :D his ego is pretty big and almost too big to lose against a girl. im pretty sure he wouldve raged alot about the first map then ^^

Guess he was kind of pissed off of the whole situation. It was.. what... the third drop in that game? It was hardly a regular game, forgetting upgrades because of the drops etc. I don't think he was scanning to get an edge in the game (he would have scanned the natural for that), more like a "is it worth playing on" scan. Still folly of course, but I don't think he really thought it through while doing this. Some Terrans scan after games end to verify what they assumed during the game. Looking at the Twitch chat is riskier than that to be honest. There is always some idiot who tries to spoil the fun.
Considering I beat TaKe on ladder the other day, I don't really see how he has a chance of winning this. Should be an interesting set of matches though! :3

You dont have to be a pro gamer to be better than take and flo... high master would most likely be sufficient..
I hope next week they show a little more variation in their build orders. On takes ladder stream hes way more versatile. But i guess if money is on the line he goes full goody mode and only uses the build hes most comfortable with.

Gonna take a nap for 2 hours in this heat and then watch this, pretty excited again. Should be hard for Flo on europe, but I think Thorzain helped her out so she might have a few surprises ready. Will be pretty close either way, but I will go with 4:2 in favour of Take.

Flo should also include some marines like Take does. It was really helping him vs her vikings and the main difference came from economic advantage and well, hellbats.
