And seeing absolutely NO DISCUSSION of the games in any of the last 5 pages, how were they? Or am I just fucking wasting my time here? The games were amazing, I'd recommend the entire finals and Mvp vs Dimaga game 2. Thank you! Time to get caught up! Enjoy! Games were so good/entertaining that I kind of envy you for not having seen them yet
This man speaks the truth, The Finals were amazing and the other games were really good too especially ForGG vs Stephano on Neo Planet S

Must be why it was so successful
You are correct!
In Premier:
Ro32: 5 TvT, 3 PvP, 0 ZvZ Ro16: 4 TvT, 1 PvP, 0 ZvZ Ro8: 1 TvT Rest: No Mirrors Total: 10 TvT, 4 PvP, 0 ZvZ
Only 14 mirrors out of 70 games is amazing, considering we would have seen 23.65 mirrors if it would have been random. And most of these mirrors were at least decent (:
EDIT: The lack of ZvZ could also be the reason we have this many zergs in the final though, the swarm didn't eliminate any of their rival broods either :c

So why do they call the guy that won WCS Europe the European champion if it wasn't meant to find the best player(s) from Europe? It is called Europe, because it is played in Europe. Uh, no, it isn't. It isn't played in Europe? Please continue, you are most entertaining to read together with that Benjamin guy Yeah, i could have sworn Cologne was in Europe. Must be something with my eyes. Woosh. My statement was made concerning the title of WCS EU. It is called the European championship because it's supposed to be the champion of European players. No one cares where the people are when they play- look at WCS AM, the first rounds were played online with people literally playing from Korea. Actually, it is called WCS EU because it determines the champion of the European region by playing out the Ro16 and forward in Europe. It doesn't have anything to do with who lives where or who is a citizen of what country, the only thing that matters is that the players are in Europe for the live rounds. You might want it to be otherwise, but that's not the case. So Spain is the Austrian, Swiss, South African, Polish and Ukrainian Football champion because they played all the matches of their Euro / World Cup victories there? The fact that all the games are played in Europe doesn't imply that it makes any sense to declare the winner European champion. WCS Europe champion, sure, but saying that someone is champion of a certain region implies that the participants are from (or has significant ties) to said region. Spending two weeks in Europe hardly makes you European. (I don't really have any issues with Koreans taking part in WCS EU or AM - except that I am really sad to see so many players give up GSL / OSL - but saying that the winners of WCS EU or AM are the European or American champion strikes me as somewhat ridiculous) Here are Blizzard's thoughts on the matter. And differentiating "European champion" and "WCS Europe champion" is a matter of semantics - if you win the European section of the series, you're the champion of the European section of the tournament. You're not a European champion, certainly, but you're the champion of the European tournament. One rolls off the tongue, one doesn't. I think that's all there is to the matter. I guess I feel like its more than semantics. Calling someone a European / Asian / American / African champion is something that I feel ought to be meaningful. I don't think its a title that ought to be thrown around casually.

Here I thought the finals would have an event like GSL. Surprised it's already over. :/

Rewatched part of the games and I'm really surprised how much confidence Mvp had in his mech play. It really hasn't been impressing me at all in HotS so far, but maybe there's something I'm missing.
Oh not sure if its here yet, updated MVP smile:

ESL had an awesome production, good quality and some content but i wish it would have got more offline spectators seats (i mean there was 130k people on the stream ffs,we could easily have fit 3000 people (Iron squid 2 wasn't as big (only 50k) and yet it had 3000 + offline spectators )

Hm. Korean winning WCS Europe. Did I miss something here? What's the point of actually naming the different regions when anyone can play wherever they want to. So ridiculously pointless.

w00t!! Unfortunately he can only do it outside Korea. I doubt if he can still go toe to toe with the current KR scene.
