How on Earth could he have done that?
You do not need BL's with this composition.

Am I the only one that still kinda' likes SH play. Most Z still use them badly, but it does lead to interesting positional play. They might just be too weak, just like siege tanks. Mobility in SC2>>>>>>> everything else.

@EGStephanoRC You played like shit in game one against babyknight in #WCS my friend. It does worry me somewhat. I wonder if one day, top-tier Zergs like Life will have refined swarmhost play into something as deathball-ish and overpowered as Broodlord infestor was. And that can be frightening
And then the old Mothership makes a comeback.

I would say sentries are the worst unit to hit the starcraft franchise.

If it happens, it's gonna happen way sooner than Infestor-brood happened in WoL, which means Blizzard team will still be invested in the game enough to deal with it.
Wouldn't worry too much.

Not exactly sure what Stephanos gameplan was. Defend for 50 minutes? He made no attempt of aggression whatsoever so it's hard to tell what he wanted to achieve really.
|
i'm surprised people think that was boring. i can see how it might become boring in the future, but we've seen it so little just yet and it's very different from the "old" WoL games it makes it very fun to watch for now.
same with the whole skytoss turtle thingy, i'm actually sad i've only seen like 1 or 2 games of that overall.

Life don't like to play this type of style though. Life was forced to play BL+Infestor to win his game. You could tell he like the more mobile style which is way more interesting to watch
I can only picture Symbol/Roro/Soulkey perfecting this style with 100++++spores/spines Mass sh/corrupter with some infestor and viper and slow pushing their opponent to their death

BL/infestor is still good I think. People will come back to it eventually.

Blizzard thought process:
Developer A: Hm Broodlords make zvp boring, let's give protoss the new tempest to deal with them. Developer B: But then Zerg needs something new, like the Broodlord but different. Developer A: So maybe something like ground Broodlords? Developer B: Hell yeah, that's perfect, and let's make the burrow so they are even less mobile .

Nope. BL+Infestor has died off.
SH/Corrupters with some Infestor/Viper and mass static defense and slow pushing will be the future of ZvP late game and that looks grim.

Even more free units! Heh, at least they dont die to lazors. Seeing the collosi as the main damage dealer in the army, I would counter it with some BLs. Yeah, I saw Yugioh last night play Infestor/SH/BL and it was extremely powerful and extremely stupid. He walked up to Paralyze and it looked like they were playing on that TL attack map where you can build 500+ supply, except all of the units were free and Paralyze wasn't allowed to go over the 200/200 cap. Saw that. Agree, it was a nonsense.
Lets be frank here. ZvP late game can be pretty much ridiculous in the current state of the game. There is an option of going ultra, and I am thinking it could work against the composition that BK had. He had what 2 immortals at some point? Ling/ultra/infestor could be the tech switch that Stephano needed here. He could throw in some runbys and stretch toss thin.

Well at least it was hysterically funny to watch them in action.

So obvious Stephano has still not practiced that much HoTs tbh.
