Loser's Match between HelloKitty and AxHeart. False countdown on Neo Planet S after HelloKitty disconnect's in lobby. Game 1 Neo Planet S HelloKitty spawns in the bottom left as the Red Protoss. AxHeart spawns in the top right as the Blue Terran. No proxies put down yet, 2 minutes into the game, gas from both players, double from HelloKitty.

So far, this was the only group that I didn't vote for the two non-NA players in Liquibet. Voted for Suppy and Ryung, looking good so far.

GG Sup, show us great play in Ro16. uh wat? rofl. If I'm watching my 49ers play (Home american football team). I want them to win over it being a good game. Same applies to starcraft when it applies. Yeah, good that you have a different opinion. 49ers are pretty good tho. I don't really like norwegian soccer 'cause it's really bad compared to english/spanish. Not gonna fault you for it. Just saying I was bored. yeah i find the hardcore sc2 fan (ie people who TL a lot) generally care about better gameplay of sc2 while the more average casual fan cares more about nationalities and stories etc i mean a lot of mvp's games in the season he won were fairly meh (save the game 5 against squirtle in finals) but they were rated so highly due to storyline etc Game five was especially bad it was...unique i guess, unique games are generally rated highly (see BL vs. BL, the only game of that we saw was rather highly recommended, but any more after that and they'd be rated down imo)

Well a big difference is that this is broadcast worldwide, while your local sports team has a much smaller venue, consisting of mostly fans of the particular teams playing.
That said, it's fine to want your countrymen to win, but a better game quality would be great for absolutely everyone?

The fact that Mvp #YOLO'ed the 2rax made it even cooler. And how he exterminated the stalkers that moved out. GOD. But the games and the players made it more fun, not where they were from.

I'm not really sure he was behind, he defended the cheese well and punished Ryung's lack of defense. u cant rly punish something if u dont know wat ur opponent has LOL, he just allined because he fell behind in the early game and ended up winning
But the way he made each unit count with his micro was really nice. He avoided the blunt of the widow mine fire, used his banes intelligently. Even saving that last one that was already at the top of the ramp, and that one baneling net him a hellion and 2 reapers in the end. His decision making was flawless, the way he split his roaches when attacking the wall, he killed most hellions and still dropped the bunker. If he focused just the Hellions, Ryung would have time to finish more bunkers and repair his first one. If he focused only the bunker the hellions would toast his banelings.
You can't say that the better player did not win.

Why can't you have both?
I cheer for fantastic games when it is Korean versus Korean and I cheer for underdog college student americans when they play Koreans. I appreciate both fantastic play and the home team, especially since they don't even overlap all that often (in my case).

It's understandable people don't go for them. Also the tank defense doesn't work well on that map as you have to sit the tanks on the lowground where they just get surrounded and die.
I'm sorry but that's nonsense. These all-ins only worked in WoL when Terran didn't have siege mode. If Terran had 1-2 tanks out with siege, they failed, we saw this again and again at the highest level. Now in HotS they work so often because Terran doesn't build siege tanks. And to not build 2 siege tanks, when they don't require any extra research, because Zerg may produce a Hive tech unit that counters them 20 minutes later. That's just silly.. Why make Hellions if Broodlords counter them, am I right? Better to keep dying to these all-ins when you have every means to defend them.

No, I'm probably going to be a Slayers fan until I die :p
But I gave up the icon (shed a few tears doing so) because maybe it's time to stop dwelling so much on the past and embrace the future.

Heart scouting all over for proxies, same as Ryung. Heart pauses as my screen freezes for a bit. Making pizza while waiting for the unpause. Might be a keyboard issue for Heart. Admin being called in to see what to do and now commercials
