I doubt hitmaN can take Light in a TvZ especially since HotS.
This is going to end fairly quickly if Zest and/or Zest don't win their mirrors. So in other news, WJS is one step closer to be at the finals for this PL.

imagine if all the pro-gamers present had to off-game i.e. play not-sc2. i'd love to see flash vs. fanta in special force or something. maybe mkp can finally beat mvp at tekken

Get a membership its only 5 bucks for the season lol. No adds and you can watch replays and get 720+.
Not so much this game, but I've seen so many other game where one player is scouting for proxies but he doesn't go far enough out to the perimeter of the map, often missing the proxy buildings in the furthest corners. Players should keep in mind that if someone is proxying, and you suspect it, you have to go ALL THE WAY to the edge of the map not half-ass that scouting pattern. Your opponent is not going to put it ROUGHLY at the edge of the map, they will put it at the furthest possible edge of the map.

This is not the position to use Swarm Hosts :/ Swarm Hosts have to be used aggressively, they are really good at forcing your opponent into bad positions. But that only works if you are ahead or at least even. Not if you are behind like ZerO

wow did not expect KT to jump out to a 2-0 lead but i'll take it cause Crazy is on my main team. Hope KT doesn't 4-0 though cause I have WJS as my team and don't want to get negative points D:

Honestly I dunno why SNM and Whiplash get so much critism. Considering its only their 3rd or 4th month working together I think their very good. Keep things interesting and pay attention to the game. Thats my biggest problem with tasteosis they go on way too many time filler tangents instead of talking about the players or strat.

They are getting better, developing some kind of synergy. Before they would never respond to what the other guy said and just talk past each other but now they are working together. They are still not that good but you can listen to them now without getting really angry. As long as they keep improving I'm fine with them casting Proleague

I was just talking about the quality of Korean casting. It was pretty crap before Canata joined them this week. A huge downgrade from OGN casters.
My main was soooo good but then my anti wrecked me and my main is doing not that well anymore. Should really just refrain from doing it so I can cheer properly instead of for the points @_@

I wouldnt pencil in flash for the auto win. Soulkey is an EXCELLENT sc2 zerg.
Yeah but Flash won against him in the GSL. And from that games I think Soulkey won't be able to take on Flash in a longer game. I think he has to throw in some cheese but even then, Flash got a lot better at defending those.
Of course it's not an auto-win but it seems to be pretty likely. And even the possibility of KT winning 4-0 seems kinda crazy. Just look at the pre-game polls, not a lot of people expected KT to even be able to get into this position
Well, Soulkey did put a good fight against Flash last week. The games were pretty good. I wouldn't count him out, but I am still betting on Flash though
If I was Soulkey I would just ling baneling bust Flash. Worked for Jaedong. :p besides the only Zerg who can go toe to toe with Flash in lategame is Life IMO.
Love the analysis. He's burrowing a tonne of banelings to spot a medivac -> oh no it's to get a surround -> oh it's a backstab -.- It was so freaking obvious.
man i know i say it a lot and everyone says it but jesus...why do i have to lower my volume to 10% when SNM is talking? It's a microphone, dude, you don't have to yell. Excitement comes from inflection, not vocal volume.
I understand it's Flash but even as he is losing and clearly getting destroyed they are still talking about how good everything he is doing is. Not a single word about soulkey

yeah he did. He also got supply blocked a few times today particularly at 89. Not the best play from him today :/ still played well and Soulkey is a very good player, but he definitely didn't play as well today as he did in the GSL last week.

hm SK didn't really do anything special to destroy the dreaded bio mine play, in fact I think one of flash's mines took out 10+ marines when he really needed them.
i'm happy this keeps happening in PL, but unhappy both Soulkey and B4 failed to do anything of the sort in GSL. Flash needs to learn he can't just go full greed every game.
Nice work by Soulkey taking down Flash. Regarding the caster hype, Tastosis does the same thing, perhaps even more so. Whenever there is a fan favorite or big star casters tend to over-emphasize that player.

ya. I mean I can understand why he would go full greed but at least scout a lot more, scan every once in a while, play a little cautiously instead of just being in the dark. In a way, reminds me of MKP when he'll go 3 cc, never scout then die to the same thing again ><

And I don't blame them seeing as how Flash dominated Soulkey in GSL. But yeah, Soulkey is a good player nonetheless.
On April 23 2013 16:14 BlackCompany wrote: Cant watch, i am at university? How did the flash vs sk game go so far? Aparently flash is about to die?
Both players went up to 3 bases, Soulkey hid a bunch of Lings and Banelings at the right side of the map. As soon as Flash went for the attack, Soulkey counter-attacked and forced the the third to lift while also defending Flash's attack with his reinforcements.
I think Soulkey mostly won because he did delay his Mutas by quite a bit and instead went for more Lings and Banelings. Flash goes for straight-up attacks and doesn't use multi-pronged drop harass so Soulkey did the perfect counter with building a bigger army. I guess he did analyze Flash games after they played in GSL and he found the perfect response
If this comes to an ace match I wonder if KT will send out Flash or anticipate that WJS will send out a Flash sniper and then send out someone else. Stats is the next best choice but he's not doing really well as of the moment.

If you're associating Zest with citrus you're doing it wrong! Zest is a fundamental force of the universe that cannot be fully comprehended.

Eh, it's just a joke within my friends at school. They make up our school's Film Club and made a mockumentary about Zest, so it doesn't really have relevance to anyone else. It's so hard for me to contain my excitement about it, though!

He is way too greedy. It's the reason why he wins so much in against defensive opponents. He is just ahead by default if you dont blindly attack him.
I am not afraid to say it : I have no idea why the fight turned in such a one sided slaughter.
I understand the warp prism thing that was very nice, but the fight was already leaning on one side at that time. I also agree about the "layer" thing (the layers being : zealot -> archon -> immortal -> colossus). But army compositions were very similar (identical layers) and red had a much better concave

Wooki just had more of everything, and it started to become very onesided when Wooki started warping in units and Flying's units came back to attack them. It did not just reinforce Wooki's army while Flying isn't even reinforcing his, but it also ruined Flying's concave/position.

haha this seems to be happening so often in liquibet etc.
I would love to see a histogram of the average correct guesses for each liquibetter. I wouldn't be surprised if it would just be the same of that for totally random votes filled in, ie prediction in sc2 teamleague formats is practically impossible.
I'm curious as to what you guys think about the Flash vs Soulkey game. Soulkey played really well, it looked like one of the Flash vs. Life games where the bane bust was so strong.
Unlike the Flash vs. Jaedong game, Soulkey wasn't allin, he had 57 drones and 4-bases. How do you stop that kinda attack? The only thing I can think of is earlier reaper+hellion pressure to stop zerg from playing too greedy.
The main problem is its so hard to scout. He even had burrow to hide it.

Flash did his favorite double CC stuff and lost the initial hellions without doing damage, then his next push is always at 140 supply, which soulkey obviously knew so he chilled until then and then just crushed him. Flash builds are sometimes way too predictable and passive. Innovation looks WAY harder to beat in tvz imo.

Hmm, true but 3CC is pretty much every Terran's standard build nowadays so thats kinda predictable for all terrans. As for the 140 push, its a strong timing because thats usually when the fourth is going up and terran's upgrades are around done.
Flash played standard, I would say, it was just the lack of information that killed him. It's just so hard to scout that kind of attack.
And yes, you could say its predictable and Flash should probably change his build order more (maybe go for a fourth, drop, and wait until 3-3) but all terrans should be able to have a build that is solid and standard. For Flash, this 3CC into 140 push is solid and standard, its just a matter of how to stop the bane bust
