first off there is nothing cheesy about this build lol

now id like to see a single game where this gets defended with terran being behind

Sorry but your comprehension of the game is really poor if you don't understand that a gas first Reactor Hellion drop expanding at 6'25 is cheesy. Zerg has every tool needed to reliably get ahead 100% of the time with the proper answers.

i dont know, im playing at high master/low gm level and the timing at which this hits is really early, also its impossible to scout it in time to build spines in mineral lines so you rely on lings and queens, thats why its always cost efficient (also spines dont do much vs hellbats anyways)

"Impossible to scout it in time"... Do you even believe what you're saying? Drone scout to see gas first → know it's a Reactor Hellion drop (confirm with Overlord poke/sacrifice if you feel you need it) → one Spine per mineral line + Roaches (some left to defend, some go at Terran's base to pressure/contain natural if there is a Bunker there). Focus the Medivac with Queens, run Drones around the Hatchery to mitigate casualities, resume 100% Drone production, enjoy being miles ahead. There, /Maru's build.

No its not cheesy, Its just a slightly delayed expansion timing and ideal to transition into mech.

The only thing making it an "ideal transition" into mech is the fact that the zerg botches the defence, which, is hardly something to rely on.

I don't think any one talks about broken, current meta is in favor of Terran though.

a guy making only lings and couple queens with spines loses to hellion/hellbat drops? who woulda thought?

You're kidding, right? The hellbat drop is obscenely cheap -- 200 minerals for the pair, 300/100 if you include the medivac that won't die anyway.

Unless you're implying that it's only logical that it should be countered in a manner that's so incredibly cost-inefficient as to make the game a sure loss anyway (see Maru-Soulkey G1 for an example).

eh? because tier 1 units should win against tier 2 units that cost gas to unlock?
not to mention the fact that hellions are the counter to lings, so...

a 1 gas late expand...yeah, it's gonna be tech aggression, that's not hard to recognise.
There is no such thing is "e-sports". There is Brood War, and then there is crap for nerds.

"Cheese most often refers to an unexpected strategy that relies in large parts on lack of information and/or psychological impact on the opponent." Fits 100% there.

impossible to scout the followup of the gas first rector hellions, u know its not guaranteed to be a medivac followup,

also this hits at 6 mins with 4 hellions and first 2 hellbats around 7 mins, you cant just have "a spine in each mineral line, some roaches here and there and some for a counterattack too", ive seen this exact build a dozen of times and it hasnt lost a single time, care to show us an example of how to play against it?
