Go mass bio and ignore the phoenix, trying to position yourself in the best engage possible on a high economy as the Protoss has a difficult time moving out with phoenix colossi until they reach a critical mass. Make mass fucking vikings and just use static defense to defend your third/fourth location with turrets/bunkers/a few mines. I've seen both work well in pro matches depending on the map. | ||

You don't really need both on 2 bases though. Mass vikings should do the job. What really doesn't do the job is a mix of some ground and some air like we saw that game. If he'd gone super heavy on one of the two (ground/air), he'd have been better off to take his third earlier and outmacro Lure. | ||

The marines were just the resulting mineral sink. He needed the vikings to attempt to deal with the phoenix colossi composition which is not all that standard itself. Not scouting the second stargate really hurt Dayshi as I feel he was a bit overconfident after killing off 8 of Lure phoenix. That was really well played by Lure hiding his phoenix count while getting ups for them and using the stalkers to zone Dayshi's vikings. | ||
