But do u remember times,when there were closespawns on maps like LT or Metalopolis ?!
When there was the Kaydarim Amulett for Templars?
Barracks first?
Void Rays with speedupgrade?
Dimaga´s marker "Go Scrap!"?
and sooooo many more ...theres an endless list.
So we decided to bring all that nice stuff back.
"Back to Imbaness" !
We made a decent oldschool SC2 Beta,2010 Season1 & 2011 Season 1 Mappool :
Metalopolis
Steppes of War
Scrap Station
Kulas Ravine
Lost Temple
Xel'naga Caverns
Blistering Sands
Desert Oasis
Delta Quadrant
Shakuras Plateau (old version,with rocks inbase!)
Incineration Zone
My Mapper and me,are bringing all the "nice" stuff from SC2 1.0 per Editor back to those maps,to do,when its done,an EPIC WoL "Back to Imbaness" Tournament 
When we are done with the maps,i will let u know,so u can play them as a tester,to report bugs and things like that.
But at first we would like to know,if u like our idea?
The thing will take place in the near future,and there will also be a pricepool. 
And,if u have any further questions/ideas to bring in...let us know

3 rax stim was definetely stoppable, even before the 30 second nerf on xelnaga caverns as protoss - I remember grabbing a friend and spam practiced forcefields on that map while expanding against 3 rax stim for 20 games straight until I could get it down decently.
Not sure about 1 base collosi pushes tho? Were there any collosi changes?

atm its a 10 map pool,but for correct veto,we need 11 so incineration is added!
and about the snipe question,yes,this will be back with full power ^^
everything like in 1.0 will be back and playable !

repairing scvs had no attack priority so unless you manually targeted repairing scvs, your units would just sit there and attack the unkillable thor basically

Speed rays to me sounds like back when voidrays could get the speed upgrade from fleet beacon. I'm guessing you mean the RIDICULOUS upgraded dmg they dealt after charging up, so you'd just build a pylon, charge up on it, and autowin if scvs weren't prepulled with an autosurround with other supporting units and target firing the voids?
