The usual: Don't flame casters or players. Don't discuss balance in this or any LR thread. Don't call your fellow posters idiots. Be excited, happy and entertained. |

If it was a ZvT I really could understand the "super imba" complaint, but in TvP I really don't get what's changed so much in favor of T.
The fact that protoss can do very little but cower on two base once stim finishes.

You just can't do it.
MC is just about the craftiest, scrappiest player out there.

MC and Innovation are both playing on a completely different level from everyone else, I don't really see how it won't be them in the finals. One out of MC and Innovation is out of place in that sentence - Guess which.

This reaper stuff is kinda neat, but it'd be nice if it didn't happen every single tvz yawwwwwwwwwwwwwn

I dont care about the widow mine effectiveness, but it is seriously hampering the flow of the game. Opponents are uber cautious when harrasing, dont harras much, cant engage asap, walk around in circles and must constantly have detection. It isnt that exciting for spectators however you look at it..

I'm a parting and Flash fan, but even I can see Parting didn't play that well enough.
Thanks man! So many ppl complaining about Terrans at MLG ... on the other hand all the weekend the most wins from korean terrans were against foreigners o0.
I hope this doesn't get nerfed right away because the new Meta is so much more fun than this turtle stuff from WOL!

I cannot count the number of proxy reaper builds in this tournament.

Make mines have a splash cap of 3 enemy units max and a splash cap of 3 friendly units max
So the mines would still be pretty good but would only hit 4 enemy units max, zerg would only lose max 4 zerglings to a single mine. But they would be much stronger against mutas and roaches (but weakest against zerglings)

Oi vey. Another proxy reaper build zzzzzz

Seems like everyone not terran is an internet noob, including parting. He has a point tho. This championship results sould not be taken too seriously as the game is new and the balance state is in the working status. On the other hand Rain and Parting are PvT beasts and speedvacs will most likely get changed anyway lol, so no need to compain for now. I honestly don't ever care whether terran is imba or not, I just can't stand the terran audience in these threads it's unbearable I think I would get physical if we were in the same room
Yeah what horrible people we are thinking that Flash and Bogus deserves their wins

Way to play poorly, opponents. No afterburners and a drop of 3 medivacs would've still instagibbed the colossus and taken the nexus. PartinG fucked that up and he fucked it up HARD. Only now there is no risk for terran, cause they know that protoss have shorter time to react and they can get out whenever they want. So... yeah it does matter. Like how many games do you see terran do a doom drop and he suffers major losses from it? You dont. How many games do you see a doom drop do damage on a scale that it is unrecoverable for protoss? Well that is about 50% of the terran matches now. Not to mention that the medivac makes it very hard to defend three bases which results in that almost 100% of all games does terran have their third well ahead of protoss. So even if you defend you are behind in macro.
it's not like you cant recall your army.
oh wait

In WoL, doing doom drops was rare. man's got a point. The more important thing is getting units in and out quickly. Normal medivacs get crushed more often than not. But Parting really didn't have a right to call the games imba since he was way dead before the medivac drops came into play. bunch of terran bio outside his base when he was at a critical transitional period = dead I agree. I've noticed a lot more terrans taking 3-4 medivacs and bum-rushing the bases, then quickly evacuating back to their main army...Even if protoss/zerg attacks the main army during the drop, terran has two options now...Continue to attack and go for a base trade, OR quickly boost back and flank the enemy :/
also helps with the boost that you don't lose all your medivacs when retreating from a protoss ball with stalkers. That's a huge reason Terran is retaining so many medivacs after losing or retreating from a major engagement. Bio with medivacs = godly. Bio with no medivac support = stimmed out corpses.
Replacing bio with 15 raxes with assorted tech labs / reactors is easy. Churning out 100min/100gas medivacs 2 at a time from one or two star ports is costly and eats into viking counts.

I don't believe there is an imbalance in favor of Terran. It's just that the best players happen to play this particular race. Where have I read this before... Towards the end of WoL when all the best players played zerg.
Actually that's not true. During the BL/Infestor period the imbalance was widely accepted, and these players weren't really considered the best; this is why you had the birth of the term "patchzerg" that was even used by Zerg players when you had finals with no-name foreign Zergs vs MVP (mid 2012 I believe).
On the other-hand, even during periods where Terran is doing good, the community still tends to recognize the skill as a whole because it's also generally accepted that Terran is the skill-race because of it's steep micro requirements. In conclusion we as the community aren't as transparent as you're portraying to just shift opinion like that.
