The usual: Don't flame casters or players. Don't discuss balance in this or any LR thread. Don't call your fellow posters idiots. Be excited, happy and entertained. |

People are too greedy. No matter what race, no one makes static defenses like turrets or cannons or spores/spines unless they are forced to do so (after an attack) - the exception being some meching terrans, FFE protoss, and BL/Infestor stage Zerg - and even those will try not to if they think they can get away with it.
One time I did, because on Newkirk you can almost bet there will be some kind of air harass across the chasm, and I was immediately accused of maphacking for having (a lot of) turrets and a few marines that intercepted his drop.

Wow all those banes lost and Life still won convincingly, Leenock chose mutas too, but he rushed for them and off such a weak eco i think that hurt alot.
Maybe Mutas aren't as bad in hots as they looked in Leenock's series.

These games are so much better and fast-paced than WoL

Their most recent balance article states that this is something they're considering; in some way altering the splash of the mine. This is probably the best way to address it.

Compared to the mineral cost the benefits are far greater, Turrets cost no supply after all.

Great game, unreal play from both players! Damn some of those widow mines at Polt's natural killed tens of banelings with a single shot.
Fast-paced action I am loving HotS!
Edit- I agree with the widow mine radius reduction. I feel like widow mines in TvZ do HUGE damage as lings and banelings have low-enough HP to succumb to the splash damage from one shot.

But it looks like Life is the HOTS version of Fruitdealer or Nestea.
Nah, Life is just the HoTS version of really fucking good

Amazing the difference between HoTS at launch and wings. Literally a game going to 20 minutes in the first 6 months of Wings was crazy long.

Life might actually be the best player in the world right now, Tasteless!

Pretty much every unit Life touches seems way better than what is actually in the game...
