MKP's build is not very good against gas openers. It kills no Gas FE but almost any decent gas opener now does which is why it's barely done anymore .

Yeah I don't like think free siege, it was suppose to make mech vs toss better but it hasn't done that at all. It does take away any type of siege advantage in TvT so one could just cut corners and still be safe because of free siege. Plus games seem to go way quicker if you get any type of early advantage of siege is pretty strong.
