From what I've seen so far (G1+2), HuK just played standard and responded to what Sasquatch was doing (inexplicably bad plays, speculatively trying to metagame HuK's gateway allins?) and he made units and won. He had superior macro and was ahead in workers, bases, and supply, at all points of the game. G3 he did an unscouted 5gate +1 pressure (with twilight->blink +2 ) followup, and did an absurd amount of damage, because Sasquatch didn't have roaches. He went home and made a third... Looks like inevitable win at this point. Side note, when HuK plays against foreigners you don't generally see the gateway allin version of him as much. You only see that version when he is playing against someone who he thinks has a superior late game. Unfortunately, his high profile games are against tough opponents so people have this bad idea that that's all he can do. ---- He clearly wasn't even trying after he gained an insurmountable advantage in every game, which were gained by HuK playing standard build order better with better macro, and Sasquatch not. | ||
