i think it's pretty weird that they keep showing us what someone else (one of the players) is going to end up winning. what kind of advertising is this?

I think it will shake up the metagame in early TvZ, Going for early roaches does hurt the zerg economy but it doesn't really give you anything except safety.

It may turn out that the price of this safety is too high, and that terran can easily come out ahead in the early game, but again it is too early to tell

just a broader view at hots tvz: there is basically not a single new thing that terran has to worry about in the first 10 minutes of the game but plenty of stuff zerg needs to adapt too

totally not balance related im very disappointed blizzard did so few changes to zerg especially in the early game, guess thats why at the end of the beta they were like "oh fuck yeah we forgot, guess you can have burrow and overlord speed at hatch" but those changes dont actually do anything lol

based on what?Violet and Ret are winning just fine, those getting stomped are the zergs that sprouted, nothing out of the ordinary in my books.

Yeh it is a strong build, but I think the game should be designed to encourage scouting and the zerg is a reactive race anyway.
