my prediction last time was completely wrong, so many players still having an ace hidden somewhere. Especially if they use the widow mines like siege tanks that have no conter to them and only are 2 supply.

Yeah, except DTs are actually useful for a macro game, lol. Oracles have been getting pretty unpopular recently and I can't blame people if the games look like this.
Summary: HerO opened 1 base oracle, didn't do enough damage and then died.

It is interesting seeing the disparity in the chances of winning once Polt takes one game. Once he took game 1, the chances of him winning rise to 70.25% from 51.89%. Being almost all WoL stats, it is unfair to look at it this way, but the momentum really shifts for Polt.

Polts production tab was just completly empty and his army not really moving, I wonder what he was doing.

Polt's habbit of having his army always on 2 hotkeys ( half on one, half on the other ) is really one of the thing making him a really good army movement / positioning player.

I thought Polt would have used the other half of his army to attack the third there, but he just idled it for some reason.

When Polt's first doom drop failed and he didn't do any pressure on HerO's third, I thought he was screwed because of the inefficient trades despite his good macro. HerO was close to breaking Polt when he moved into his bases, but Polt's positioning was pretty damn good.

What's annoying me about HoTS is with all these TvP's, infact games in general the only terrans we've really seen have been terrans who play Bio in basically everything in WoL (Polt, MMA, Jjakji etc) where as nobody minus maybe Goody and Supernova have really shown off the new mech as none of them have I guess practiced it or just prefer bio. I'm hoping people actually do explore mech. I really hope TvP isn't going to be bio vs deathball for the next 2 years as stargate play isn't viable versus bio so we'll never see it.

Ironically, Blizzard tried so hard to make Mech a viable composition in TvP, but they also buffed Bio in the late-game with Medivac boost and the hardly used Caduceus Reactor.

I swear Polt just turned into Flash this series. Impeccable macro, great decisions, incredible starsense and timings. Plus with the great micro and positioning that always defined Polt. If Polt can play like this in MLG and IPL6, I think Polt will be the best Terran in the early stages HotS.

He's not harrassing effectively at all, his engagements are bad, his drop defense is horrid, no map awareness.. :\ Sad to see. But expected considering his recent form.

Full time HotS. Anyway, he has always been one to practice a lot, but it seems like he doesn't need that much practice after all. Best HotS terran, possibly best HotS player atm.

I had the pleasure of watching Polt stream last weekend and I couldn't take my eyes off it! His "series" against Goblin (who was apparently Sting) was just superb, and his TvP was virtually unbeatable

I would appreciate it if MLG gave the "If you have time" option because some games aren't necessarily terrible, but just aren't the best games to appreciate the full extend of the players if you are short on time.

I just can't get over the fact that the MLG players will have less than 4 days of practice (after 12 days of not being able to practice). It is quite disappointing, the quality of games will certainly be less.

No, these servers are for tournaments or events during the break.
And not anyone can get them. TB asked if he could run his blind tournament and Blizzard told him to wait until launch.
So I doubt there's one just for players to practice.

this is not true, servers will be open for the iem tournament only. MLG will be played on 2 days of practice+1 day of travel.
in blizzard we trust.

While I understand that you are a person that this can directly affect, tournament organizers knew that this is something that could happen.
What I think is even more telling is that Blizzard wants to have release day showmatches when the players aren't able to play the game for two weeks. Maybe they will have something in the long run so that the matches don't look ugly?

Out of the new units, Polt uses widow mines a lot. He likes to use them for defense, drops, and getting space when he goes in for an attack.
He also loves the new reaper for openings and early harassment with his micro. His game really hasn't changed that much, but his macro has vastly improved once again, and the features like boosters/reapers/mines fit into his style already. He also seems to be going ghosts a lot more versus Protoss, so it's good he's finally started to learn how to use that unit to it's highest capability.

What do you mean? UT Austin is part of the UT system, the most prominent branch. So Polt is indeed going to UT (and a good thing he kept away from A&M, too, hook 'em!).
