Agreed.
My biggest gripe with aLive is that he never even attempted to fucking split his marines. He just stimmed and ran with them. Allow me to coin "the stim-and-run Terran".

Basically I went with the overall scene since 2010 rather then the people like rain who only had last year. But I'd consider squirtle in there. But yeah lots of honorable mentions but no one else we can really target. Lots of foreign protoss players have solid wins too, Huk, Naniwa etc.

I'm sure I forget notable people, but I think the top 3 (where you can swap MMA for MKP and vice versa) is pretty much undisputable. I can't fathom how it would have gone down if the queen patch didn't happen. MKP did look pretty invincible back then :'(
I think, raw skill wise, the best Terran play we've seen might be Taeja. He really encompasses most qualities that a top terran has to have, whereas MKP, as much as I like him, has some flaws. His micro is unparalleled though, that's all that counts for me :D:D
Edit: I forgot jjakji, but I didn't really forget. I can't help but think he was a 1-hit wonder, but he did carry NHSH in team leagues for most of WoL :D
Dunno why you think Taeja is the best terran raw skill wise. You could see taeja floating quite a bit of resources regularly. Also he always had a hard time dealing with people pressuring him at his expansions.
But i guess you need decide whether you value macro or micro more(Bomber has some SICK mechanics  )
edit: If you arent just talking about mechanics, then its obviously Mvp. Cant be smarter than the game genie terran. And nobody else had the reputation of being the best player for long series

Protoss is the hardest to rank. If you think about it throughout WoL they've been the most unstable in who their top players are. MC and PartinG get 1st and 2nd by being considerably more consistent than the rest throughout WoL imo. As much as I love Seed I just can't put him in the top 5 even though he's a champ. A big win only buys you so much credit with me.

Yeah I know I'm going to hear for Stephano, but I honestly think he deserves #5. Also, Nestea and DRG is a lot closer than I thought it would be. Sometimes I even wonder if Nestea really deserves #1 with some of his awful games and unwillingness to really play in a lot of stuff and he's probably my favorite player.
They at least deserve to both be over Life though.

protoss is more of a top 7 or something, though. MC clearly the best, but it's quite hard to separate parting/hero/squirtle/rain/seed/genius/creator haha they've all done really well
zerg i agree, i think the top 4 are very even.

Its kinda funny if were talking about the whole of wings of liberty and parting. I love parting, but parting didnt win or place high in anything in 2010 or 2011 then in early 2012 he had some reasonable runs but nothing too special until the battle.net world championships where he just took off. Overall hero has had the better consistancy then parting if we go through the whole of wings of liberty. It's really intresting looking at protoss as a whole, MC in my opinion was the only staple protoss and even MC fell quite a few times through out wings. Just seemed like throughout wings protoss hasn't had the stability or something.

haha I know right. That's another part of MC's appeal to me. I feel like people always dump on MC every now and then when the new protoss on the block shows up but through it all MC is still here winning shit and making ro8s and he's been here since the very first GSL.
Genius, Oz, Rain, Squirtle Seed, PartinG, Creator, etc they've all come and looked good. Some even better than MC ever has. But not one matches him in consistency, only PartinG comes close in being as reliable.

Agreed, Parting is painfully hyped, he's nowhere close to MC, and placing him above any of the other prominent Protoss players is unfair. :/ I mean, what gets Parting above Creator, Rain, HerO or Seed? His results might edge out some of them, barely, but others edge him out barely, imho. Protoss has MC's insane dominance, and then the rest are fairly equal to me.

There's no way Polt is above MKP....the only thing Polt has on MKP is that elusive GSL, that's it. Everything else MKP is better.
