i'm not sure the tiring effect of a best of 9 should be understood as a disadvantage for players who practice 12 hours a day. it even requires a different kind of skillshet because you're not likely to win as big bart of your games with weird builds and gimmicks.
Hyun beat everyone with solid macro that is really impressive

Hmm which has better video quality?
Twitch, I can read the supply a bit better but the video's color looks less vibrant.
GOMTV has a bit more vibrant color?

Being prominent in one matchup isn't exactly useless. That was pretty much what Valkyries were in Broodwar Because everyone compares them to Broodwar Hydras. And compared to BW Hydras, SC2 Hydras are pretty bad This, and because until quite recently there was little reason to build Hydralisks instead of Infestors. Recent nerfs to ITs and Fungal range make Hydras a lot more competitive.

I don't really understand why people even care to separate Korean players into eSF and KeSPA. It's all the same, really. Sole difference is that eSF got GSTL and KeSPA got Proleague. people want to compare to something and we've reached the point where foreigners arent really that competitive anymore like they kind of were early on. There's a few but as a whole not really

shall we see some traditional GSL drama today? Like Life getting soul trained and out of the tournament, hehehe.

I don't expect 50/50 split on casting, but at least give some more credit to the guy who's actually winning. To be totally honest, and in this game situation specifically, Life was playing better for A LOT of the game. The decision he made earlier to not get the bane nest and the fact that he almost made it even again after that start IS impressive. They DID say that RorO had a sick lead and that his hydra army would win the engagement multiple times. TT just my two cents. If Life actually felt like he was the superior player and can beat his opponent straight up, he wouldn't have used builds like 9 pool or skipping baneling nest. The fact that he was cheesing and cutting huge corners doesn't scream unbeatable top player in the world skills.
This.

I'll get back to you when Life wins this GSL
+ Show Spoiler +Really, Life has always been doing that. At times, it's been his greatest weakness - he can beat players straight-up but does crazy, sometimes even stupid stuff because he wants to or thinks it'll work better.

I don't understand why he has to abandon a lot of his builds just because he thinks he's superior... Let him play the way he wants to. He probably thought the build would work well. Besides, he has made wonderful things happen with 6 lings. Why should he stop trying?

weird builds and gimmicks are a part of the game, you can't always hang on your good macro, limiting the series to a Bo5 gives you the best of everything, it gives you a chance to do a whole lot more even with what seems less.
its a completely different feeling being in the booth than in the practice house I can assure you that.
