Instead of immo-sentray all-in just do immo-sentray for a midgame army comp!

Stephano looked like an average Zerg player. No defense against the phoenix harass, a low drone count, no good surrounds, bad unit composition. Hell, he was lucky Argo made no colossi, and he still lost. Sad.

Wait what happened game 3? I just got up and OP says the hoon defeated his greatest nemesis, thin air.

I thought that enough hydras with roach support would beat the immortal/sentry, but those forcefields just completely prevented any kind of flank.

DONT GO HYDRAS VS TOSS OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG Actually hydras are pretty good vs protoss without Colossus or storm Not when the protoss has a comparably sized army. Roach hydra doesn't work with that many sentrys and immortals on the map. My thoughts exactly. Especially if the FFs are good and the toss don't throw units. If Jaehoon positionning and FFs were not as good as they were he would have died to these hydras. Stephano lost because he underestimated his opponent.

something something can't recall

I seriously believe stephanos massive balls and belief in himself costed him that game more than his skill
stephano KNOWS he could have easily beaten argo by going infestor broodlords mass fungals, but he wanted to try to prove a point that he can win with hydras
sigh sigh sigh stephano. he was MASSIVELY ahead right after defending the all-in, just zip straight to hive ASAP and win ez

You don't have to make excuses just because he didn't win. Stephano is known as one of the best ZvPers for a reason. Jaehoon just had his number and now that Stephano is in pro league his styles being analyzed by the Kespa pros who will break him down once they understand his style. No one broke down his style. Stephano had the game won at the beginning but overcommitted to roach hydra at the 3rd. And then he was fucked.
If Stephano had the game "won" from the beginning then he would have won with his signature roach bust which failed. Argo broke him down and played super patiently to get out the composition worthy of dealing with Stephanos roach mass.

His drone count was higher than Argo's the whole game the second the pheonix hit the field. Don't listen to the casters, they actually don't know what they're talking about. His unit positioning in that game was still good. He lost because Forcefield>Roach Hydra. He should've just teched to infestor.

No doubt in my mind that Stephano got cocky and thought he could end the game. He got cocky, over committed, lost way too much and the game was over. He lost the game all on his own after having it essentially in the bag.

Anybody else think the right caster looks like JYP?

He stubbornly refused to make infestors that game. He probably still would have won, but Argo made all the right FF's and controlled every engagement.

Can anyone confirm he had no hydralisk range? Because if he didn't have it that's why he lost, you can't deal with forcefields effectively with equal range units, you need to abuse the 6 range vs 5 to keep dealing dps while your army is being ff'd.

it's more like stephano expected to win by having way more units and able to continuous deny toss third and trade with him efficiently with the roach hydra composition. toss won't have enough resource to go double robo colossus production
