sigh sigh sigh stephano. he was MASSIVELY ahead right after defending the all-in, just zip straight to hive ASAP and win ez He stubbornly refused to make infestors that game. He probably still would have won, but Argo made all the right FF's and controlled every engagement. Again, it's not that he refused, it's that he COULDN'T after losing so badly at Jaehoons third. The game was pretty much lost there unless Jaehoon went into Failhoon mode and forgot to press FFFFFF.
wrong. before stephano "lost badly at jaehoons third" he was massively ahead in supply/economy after defending the 2base attack. if instead of suiciding into jaehoons third, stephano just zipped to hive ASAP at the moment he repelled the attack and just conhtrolled the center, infestors would be out to stop any future attacks in time, then broodlords follow

You don't have to make excuses just because he didn't win. Stephano is known as one of the best ZvPers for a reason. Jaehoon just had his number and now that Stephano is in pro league his styles being analyzed by the Kespa pros who will break him down once they understand his style. No one broke down his style. Stephano had the game won at the beginning but overcommitted to roach hydra at the 3rd. And then he was fucked. He didn't have it won. All he had was the first large attack repelled. Argo was smart after that. He pulled back and went into defensive mode without being greedy or taking his 3rd too early. It was really nice play by Argo and it was obvious he had studied Stephano's past games.
The question is : stephano trapped all the army of argo in a corner. Why didnt he destroyed it ? It wouldnt have been the same game without all the sentries and immortals saved from the 2 base all in...

If he had pre-built the infestation pit instead of the spire (he made the spire I think 2 mins after the first all in) maybe he would have gotten infestors. But he expected colossi and it never came.

the only thing that drove me mad about set 3 was the lack of upgrades from jaehoon for like 15 minutes. 8 gateways and a robo was all he had in his base

Nice to see all 3 races can all-kill.

Damn Argo is fidgety...
Every time the camera pans to him pre-game, he's always moving around and doing something. I thought he was nervous with facing Stephano but guess not.

Huge throw by stephano TT

sigh sigh sigh stephano. he was MASSIVELY ahead right after defending the all-in, just zip straight to hive ASAP and win ez Let me break it down for you. Stephano had no chance to make a Hive because he couldn't bank enough gas to produce hive tech units. Argo could have attacked Stephano and won if he had went for Hive tech because he would have had to sacrifice Roach/Hydra production. Argo kept tabs on Stephanos lair with the warp Prism and Zealots in the main base. So, you people that are claiming that he was "too stubborn to make infestor" or would have won "ez if he went straight to hive" are overlooking these strategical elements. Stephano had no chance to go for either due. Stephano going hydra at all was a mistake. He should've teched straight to infestor. Of course after investing several production cycles in hydra's he couldn't afford hive or an infestation pit. But that shouldn't have been the situation in the first place.

wrong. stephano was miles ahead directly after defending the 2base attack. if stephano zipped to hive right after that while controlling the center he would have won. argo woulda had a way later third and stephano would get infestors in time to beat any future attack

Wonder how Jaehoon is enjoying the game, I remember he was considering quitting not long after the transition

Even if he had of pre-built it he wouldn't have enough gas to make them. Keep in mind to do this he would have had to cut roach/hydra production. If he had cut his production he would have died to Jaehoon's force.
