If it takes 20 minutes to play a game and find another one, then at 50 games thats 16hours and 40 minutes, at 60 games thats 20 hours. There simply isn't enough time in the day to play that many games.

It'd be more like 15 on average.

15min to setup a game, complete the game and then find a new one? How short are these games lol.

An average game is about 18 game minutes (source: http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=240774) which is about 13 real minutes. 60 games * 13 minutes = 13 hours, which isn't unreasonable for a BW pro. And flash probably wins faster in practice.

even still you still need to search for games, eat, gym, bathroom, etc. and the KR ladder isn't always teeming with games, especially high GM from about morning to early afternoon. unless the games are 100% inhouse, it's really really hard to pull off.

16 hours practice with 1 hour eating, that's 15 hours. Constant playing for 15 hours guarantees more than 60 games. And he probably slept less than 8 hours the day before official matches anyway, that will give him probably close to 18 hours the day before. Even 4 hours sleep is not a surprise.

They changed scoring for AK round I'm pretty sure no win streaks only win ending streaks and the Team win points dropped by a bit.

IIRC the totals would be

10pts for Flash and 6 Points for KT

Does this mean EGTL's loss would be -4?

I believe so yes.

Who said he was playing full games?
Naniwa and some others have just mentioned that he PLAYED SC2.
Nothing about laddering.

As I've said before he probably tested micro/macro trainers, builds against AI and partners etc.
NOT full games.

A meaningful game isn't against a trainer, and a meaningful game is a full game.

Who said something about a meaningful game?
The discussion was if Flash actually played SC2 for said hours and if he did ladder.

Edit: also the most meaning full game/s for me have been against the AI, simply refining my building timings.

This is a bad mindset that is very typical of foreign players.

Tell a chess grandmaster that 12 hours of chess in a day is too much.

of course, i am very up for high numbers of games and training, but there simply is no time. a meaningful game = full macro game, no BO counter or cheese wins, not micro training etc. at average game length of about 20 minutes and accounting for food, bathroom, gym, other commitments and stuff, 60 games is 20+ hours. which is doablleeeee but very difficult in a day.

Am I the only one thinking that EG-TL is looking more and more ridiculous against players who started to play the game less than a year ago ? Kespa players have so much more skill, sc2 before the Kespa move was... nothing.

Just my 2 cents... But really, Taeja and Hero are supposed to be 2 of the best players in the world, and they get rolled over like bitbybit forgetting his scvs for his all in.

[ ] players
[x] Flash

But you have awesome skills at viewing situations in a way that makes them tell what you want them to tell, congrats

EG-TL going 3-4. Did they play only against Flash ? No. They played against him once, and then, Kespa players. I like your point, but it cannot stand.

Thorzain, Puma, Zenio, JYP, Jaedong.

Making it Kespa vs Esf is a) wrong, b) obviously made with a purpose, c) counterproductive, d) pointless, e) stupid.

Why would u say esf ? I never said that. I said, sc2 before Kespa move. Learn how to read before your next answer please. And please bring more "points" than a unique accumulation of un-argued useless words. It works against childs, not against growups

Please don't act like you're here to argue. You just have something to say and you're shaping up the facts to say it for you.

Let's do it once anyway :

Your point of view :

- EG-TL is doing okayish / bad in Proleague : OMFG Non-Kespa is so bad, Sc2 before kespa was shit.

My answer :

a) It's wrong : That's EG-TL, not "non-kespa". Zenio, Puma, JYP were already not doing that good against other non-kespa players. Jaedong isn't doing that good yet either and Thorzain isn't code S level despite his foreign *results*.
b) it's made with a purpose: The only way someone would look at this proleague and deduce what you brought up is if he wanted to see it in the first place.
c) it's counterproductive: Why do we have to antagonize the two? Wouldn't it be better if we could just all work together to figure out the game, rather than be on one side and shit on the other side's face?
d) it's pointless: I'll just let you explain the point of your statement, and resort to evil laugh while you fail at defining it.
e) it's stupid: That's a rather generic note based on the other 4, and the whole idiocy of wanting to make this a debate. Also, it always make you look way cooler when you have 5 points rather than 4. Kind of like a bow-tie.

lol Revival isn't anywhere near Stephano.

you're right. he isn't anywhere near. he's way too far above him

you will eat your words

as always

I like Stephano.

I dont like how people think Stephano is better than zergs such as Leenock, ViOlet, DRG and Life.

you know how much stephano trained in is whole carrier?

it equals maybe 3 month training of those you mentioned

just let him sit one month in korea and see

ah yes, the good ol' stephano is so talented he only has trained for 3 months bullshit

plus he nearly only played ladder games
nothing against the regime that koreans do with coaches, specific training of certain situations and so on

Ah. That's because he can only have one account. Right?

he has just one per server thats right

And how would you know this?
Im pretty sure he can afford more than one.

why should he use other accounts? he does't need secrecy.
everybody knows that as mentioned by many pros. it's hard to believe, i know, especially when all other train like the whole day often on IIIIIIIIII accs. but thats's just how it is.

even snute mentioned it recently how much he hates stephano for being so talented and no need of much training unlike himself who has to train pretty hard. (he not really hates stephano, but the fact that doesn't has to train not nearly as much)

constantly playing for 15 hours at ~20 minute average games is about 45 games, not sixty i guess. 40-45 games i think is a realistic number, not the 60 that is quoted. maybe sometimes on certain days he reaches 60, but i expect more like 40 games per day.

You think hes getting 4 hours of sleep before official matches? Did you ever study for exams, and notice that getting 0 sleep before never paid off?

I don't see how practicing cheese/pressure or defending these things so well you win outright is not meaningful... Practicing 'meaningful' macro games all day won't get you that far in proleague.

Flash still overpriced even with such all-kill. He could be used more rarely in the rest of this round's matches, because when he's not the starter, his teammates are often good enough to win without his help. For the same money, you can buy 2-3 players from different teams, who could be used more often and bring a total sum of more FPL points.

The KT Rolster team for 6pts money was a great deal though. Definitely worth it.

game = game, what is this talk about "meaningful" games lol .. it's such a pervasive mindset w/ foreigners that only prolonged macro games matter, when to Koreans the only thing that matters is the win
